The Protestant parish church of St. Mary Magdalene is located on the Lebbin Peninsula in western Rügen. Its present Gothic brick form was built between 1380 and 1450. A medieval holy water basin is carved into a fieldstone at the south portal. The church also houses a Renaissance pulpit dating from 1567, originally from St. Mary’s Church in Bergen. The time gap between the architectural style and the pulpit makes the different periods of construction tangible.
