Old cobblestones beneath tall lime trees, a 13th-century village church and the Immenwiese, with its themes of bees and nature conservation, show different sides of Grambow. There are also hiking trails in the Grambow Moor, regional cuisine and a village shop selling products from local suppliers. During your stay, you can focus on local history, nature, hiking or regional cuisine.

Local history between the church and a village walk

Grambow Village Church is a single-nave building constructed in the 13th century from neatly laid fieldstone blocks. A walk through Grambow takes you along old cobblestones beneath tall lime trees. Numerous information boards along the route tell the story of the village. The church and village walk therefore offer different ways to explore Grambow’s past.

Immenwiese: bees, nature conservation and activities

At the centre of Grambow lies the Immenwiese, a small open-air museum exploring the history of beekeeping, insects and nature conservation. Visitors can watch bee colonies at work in observation hives. The Immenwiese also has a large play and sports area, a giant hillside slide and a giant Viking swing. Bees and nature, as well as physical activities, are both central to the site.

Groups and school classes can arrange guided tours of the Immenwiese through the “Unser Grambow” association. Confirm the date before travelling. At Gut Grambow, the hunting school offers courses leading to the hunter’s examination as well as further training and nature seminars for the whole family. The estate also has a 3D shooting centre. If you would like to include any of these activities in your plans, check dates and packages in advance.

Moor trails and other routes

A circular moor nature trail begins near Grambow and offers views of the lake. A signposted educational trail and circular hiking route, established by the association, runs through the Grambow Moor and can be accessed from Grambow. From April to August, small groups can arrange guided hikes and excursions in the moor through the association or the information centre at Gut Grambow. Check possible dates in advance with the relevant contact point.

Several routes also lead to Grambow: the Pilgrimage Route of Saint Birgitta of Sweden, the Bienenstraße (Bee Route) and the Naturparkweg e9a long-distance trail. These routes have different thematic focuses. When planning, you can consider whether you are more interested in pilgrimage, bees or a long-distance hiking route.

Regional cuisine and products

At Gut Grambow, the “Schmiede 16” restaurant specialises in regional game and beef from the estate. Game specialities are also available to take away. As opening hours and visitor arrangements may change, check the current details before visiting.

Grambow village shop stocks regional and organic products from local suppliers and has a coffee corner. If you are planning to shop or stop for coffee, please note that the range may change. The church, village walk, Immenwiese, moor trails and regional offerings give you different ways to shape your stay in Grambow.
