Diedersdorf combines a heritage-protected estate with a historic landscape park. You can therefore balance your stay between architectural history and time outdoors.
Listed Heritage in Diedersdorf
In the Brandenburg heritage register dated 1 January 2026, the Diedersdorf estate ensemble is listed as a protected site. It includes the manor house, the park with its pavilion ruin, farm and utility buildings, guesthouse, distillery building and ice cellar. The register also lists the protected village church at SeestraĂźe 2 and three historic milestones along the B 1, at kilometre points 21.4, 23.3 and 25.2. The local listed heritage therefore includes both a larger ensemble and individual structures and markers at precisely specified locations.
Castle Park and Walks
Diedersdorf Castle Park is a historic landscape park that stretches towards Halbesee. Its features include old trees, a pond and a stream, as well as preserved vistas within the landscaped garden. The park is ideal for long walks. Old trees, water and designed views give this area a different character from the buildings of the estate ensemble.
Plan Your Journey and Visit
The castle grounds are not open to the public. You can reach the castle park by car via the B 1, by taking the RB26 to Seelow (Gusow), or by buses 958 and 955. Check current timetables before travelling, as transport services may change. Also confirm local visiting conditions in advance.
Other Cultural Sites in the Wider Destination of Vierlinden
The wider destination of Vierlinden also has its own architectural and local histories. Diedersdorf Castle, in the village district of Diedersdorf, dates from the mid-18th century. The village church in Marxdorf is a fieldstone church located on a cycle route.
The Baroque church in Friedersdorf was originally a medieval fieldstone building dating from the 13th century and was converted into a Baroque church in the 18th century. The vaulted ceiling, pulpit and altarpiece above the north entrance have been preserved inside to this day. Visits and guided tours are possible by prior arrangement, so please arrange your visit in advance. Friedersdorf is also home to the gravestone of “Hubertus-Marwitz”, commemorating a commander of Frederick II’s Guards Corps who refused an order from the king because he could not reconcile it with his conscience.
The village church in Neuentempel is a simple rectangular building from the early 14th century. Apparently, the nave was built first; it consists of dressed, neatly coursed fieldstone masonry. Worin Watermill was first mentioned in 1398, remained operational until the early 1970s and has been protected as a historic monument for many years. The Worin Watermill complex includes the mill itself, the journeyman’s room, the former miller’s residence and a permanent exhibition on the history of the last miller’s family. Check current visiting arrangements in advance.
