Explore Eisenbach on hikes with different focuses: the Seewald Scenic Route connects several named places, while a short detour to the playground offers a specific stop along the way. A snowshoeing variant of the Göttelfingen Glassworks Trail takes a different approach, passing through forests, open snow-covered areas and former forest glassworks along the route. Your choice will therefore depend mainly on the route length, the type of activity and the local or landscape setting you prefer.

The Scenic Route in Two Lengths

The Seewald Scenic Route is a family-friendly circular hike that takes in Göttelfingen, Omersbach, Morgental, Allmandle and Eisenbach. It is available in two lengths: 12.6 kilometres for the full loop and 8.2 kilometres for the shorter option. The difference is 4.4 kilometres, giving you a clear choice of route length. If you are considering a shorter loop, the 8.2-kilometre option is available; for the longer hike, choose the 12.6-kilometre route. The five named places give the loop its regional character: Eisenbach is one part of the circular hike, not its only local connection.

Detour to the Playground and Water-Treading Facility

A signposted short detour leads from the Scenic Route to the playground with a water-treading facility in Eisenbach. This provides a clearly defined destination along the way, combining play and water-treading. The playground has a carousel, a toddler swing, a climbing frame, a slide and a sandbox. There are also two swings, a spring rider, a playhouse, a play tower and a climbing wall. Seating and a shelter are also provided. A ball court and a target wall add to the play equipment. The combination of the playground and water-treading facility makes the detour a distinct stop along the route.

The water-treading facility is located right next to the playground. There, you walk through the pool in the stork-step style of Kneipp therapy. The playground and water-treading facility are therefore part of the same short detour from the signposted Scenic Route.

Snowshoeing Variant and Former Forest Glassworks

An older route description presents the snowshoeing variant of the Göttelfingen Glassworks Trail as a 5.5-kilometre circular route through the forests around Seewald-Eisenbach, Seewald-Allmandle and Seewald-Göttelfingen. The route passes through dense coniferous forest and open areas with fresh snow. Former forest glassworks once stood along the route, but no longer exist today. The glassworks are therefore a historical feature of the route, not preserved buildings to visit. Seasonal conditions and signage may change; check both before setting out. Compared with the Scenic Route, this option focuses on snowshoes, forests and the described snow-covered areas.

The Meierhof on the Hiking Trail

The hike reaches the district of Eisenbach and its impressive Meierhof. The Meierhof is a specific landmark along the hiking trail, adding a named building to the natural and recreational attractions.
