Circular trails ranging from 1.4 to 4 kilometres, a 5.5-kilometre memorial trail and a 12th-century chapel give Beaumont-Du-Ventoux a variety of points of interest. Seasonal winter activities are also available at Mont Serein. When choosing accommodation, it helps to decide what matters most to you: are you more interested in information boards and discoveries along circular trails, the history of the chapel and the resort, or activities in the snow?

Circular Trails and Memorial Trail

The V06 Sentiers de Découverte Jean-Henri Fabre trail network comprises three circular routes ranging from 1.4 to 4 kilometres. Information boards and unusual discoveries are among the routes’ features. You can therefore consider both route length and your interest in explanatory information boards when making your choice.

The Sentier mémoriel et photographique at Mont Serein is 5.5 kilometres long. Its 14 photographic panels trace the history of the Mont Serein and Chalet Reynard resorts. It is therefore longer than any of the three V06 circular trails and has a different thematic focus: the V06 routes combine circular trails with information boards and discoveries, while the Sentier uses photographs to tell the history of the resorts.

The routes of the V06 trails may be updated; trail maintenance may also change visiting conditions for the Sentier. Check the latest route information before setting out.

The Chapel and Cultural History

The Chapelle du Saint-Sépulcre was built in the 12th century and restored in the 17th century and again in 1986. These dates give the chapel its own construction and restoration history. Along with the memorial trail, it offers a different historical point of reference: here, the focus is a building, while the trail traces the history of the resorts through 14 photographic panels. If cultural themes factor into your travel plans, you can distinguish between architectural history and a narrative trail experience.

Nature and Winter Activities at Mont Serein

The natural setting includes the Type I ZNIEFF area Pelouses et combes du flanc occidental du Mont-Ventoux, identified by the reference number 930020312. It covers Beaumont-Du-Ventoux and adds a specific connection to the landscape on the western slope of Mont-Ventoux alongside the hiking and cultural themes.

At Mont Serein, the resort offers 12 kilometres of alpine ski runs, reaching an altitude of 1,909 metres. There are also three different snowshoe trails. This gives you a choice between alpine skiing and snowshoeing as distinct winter activities. Snow conditions and resort operations affect access; check both before travelling.

Getting There and Choosing Where to Stay

From Malaucène, you can reach Beaumont-Du-Ventoux via the RD 153; road conditions may vary. If you are considering Beaumont-Du-Ventoux as a place to stay, think about the focus of your trip: circular trails and cultural history, or seasonal winter activities at Mont Serein.
