Crisolles combines several historical themes with options for active days. The Mémorial noyonnais de la Résistance et de la Déportation commemorates the resistance in June 1944; the Monument de Crisolles is dedicated to the fighting around Noyon in March 1918. The Église Saint-Eloi adds a story of reconstruction and stained glass to these memorial sites. For planning, there is also a cycling route through the town, as well as activities at SHOOTING PARK.

Memorial Sites and Church Architecture

The Mémorial noyonnais de la Résistance et de la Déportation is located on Chemin des Hayettes in Crisolles. It was inaugurated in September 2025. Ceramic high reliefs commemorate the resistance fighters of the Maquis des Usages and the events of June 1944.

The Monument de Crisolles at Le Chemin Creux is a concrete wall designed by architects Davroux and Gauthier. It was inaugurated on 30 September 1934 and dedicated to the defenders of Noyon during the fighting on 23, 24 and 25 March 1918. The monument’s inauguration and the fighting it commemorates therefore took place at different times.

The Église Saint-Eloi was completely rebuilt after the First World War, modelled on the previous church building. The brick building is neo-Gothic. The nave contains windows created in 2008 by the stained-glass artist Tambouret from Amiens in the Art Deco style. The style terms refer to different elements: neo-Gothic describes the church building, while Art Deco describes the design of the windows.

Outdoor Activities

SHOOTING PARK is located on a redeveloped former military site, while preserving the park’s natural setting. Activities include clay pigeon shooting and 3D archery. The 3D course is open year-round and is about four kilometres long; it is currently undergoing a complete redesign. Access is restricted to certain archers. Check the status of the redesign and the applicable access conditions before travelling.

The “Au pays des fruits rouges” cycling route is 55 kilometres long and passes through Crisolles. It offers another way to explore the town as part of a cycling route.

Plan Routes and Your Stay

The Circuit de la Verse starts at Place du Commerce in Crisolles. Shortly after the bridge over the Verse, the route follows a section alongside the stream. According to the route guide, the Circuit de la Verse is closed until further notice; check its status before planning a hike.

If you are looking for a holiday rental in Crisolles, you can consider whether memorial and architectural history or outdoor activities should shape your stay. When planning your day, take account of the relevant access and status information for the SHOOTING PARK 3D course and the Circuit de la Verse.
