Saint-Quentin-Sur-Le-Homme combines a nature walk with a parish church whose history dates back to the 12th century. This offers two distinct areas to focus on when planning: on the Nature Trail, distance and walking time matter; around Église Saint-Quentin, church art and association events shape the cultural offering. Nature and culture can be treated as separate parts of a stay and given different emphasis according to your interests.

The Nature Trail: Loop and Starting Points

The Nature Trail is a loop of about 10 km, with a walking time of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. You can walk it alone or with your family. Its length and approximate duration help you plan the walk as a separate activity; you can allow extra time for breaks. There are two starting points to choose from: Place Léguéma, opposite the church, and the stadium. When choosing where to start, you can go by which place fits better into your day. The loop describes the route, while the two starting points let you choose where your walk begins.

Wet Meadows and Waterways

The landscape of Saint-Quentin-Sur-Le-Homme is characterized by extensive wet meadows and numerous small streams. The streams wind through the meadows and flow into the Sélune. Waterways also help define the commune’s boundaries: the Sélune forms the southern boundary, while the small Ruisseau du lait Bouilli marks the edge of the commune to the north. The waterways thus provide different points of reference, while the wet meadows and streams shape the character of the landscape. If you are looking for a specific activity, you can use the loop’s length and walking time as a guide; if you want to get a sense of the landscape, the wet meadows, streams, and boundary waterways provide that context.

Church and Cultural Events

The parish church of Saint-Quentin was built in the 12th century. The altarpiece of the Rosary altar is located in the southern transept arm of Église Saint-Quentin. The building date and the altarpiece’s location offer two ways to explore the church: the history of the building and its artistic features. A transept runs across the nave; the southern transept arm specifies the altarpiece’s position within the church building.

The Loisirs Culture Patrimoine association regularly organizes exhibitions in the cellar rooms of the former presbytery, as well as outdoors in Saint-Quentin-Sur-Le-Homme. The association holds concerts and talks at Église Saint-Quentin. Both the type of event and its location therefore matter when planning. If you would like to include one of these events in your trip, plan around the date of the event.

In 2024, 30 photographs were displayed at various locations in the town center as an exhibition to walk through; this was the second year of the presentation. The photographs were spread across several points in the town center.
