Saint-Laurent-du-Mont can be explored through a range of themes: a cider and cattle farm, individual landmarks, and a church history connected with nearby Saint-Pair-du-Mont. When looking for a holiday rental, it is useful to keep these attractions distinct: the farm visit and direct sales are in Saint-Laurent-du-Mont; the Église Saint Paterne is in nearby Saint-Pair-du-Mont. Locations along the D50 and D101 provide additional points of reference.

Visit the Ferme du Bout du Chemin

The Ferme du Bout du Chemin is a cider and cattle farm on the Route du Cidre. The farm covers 12 hectares and has been managed entirely organically for more than 25 years. Tastings and direct sales of apple juice, cider, Pommeau, Calvados and apple vinegar are available on site. Visits and tastings are free; visitor conditions may change, so it is advisable to check before visiting. The free admission applies to visits and tastings; direct sales are a separate on-site offering. For planning purposes, the options can be considered separately: a visit focuses on the farm, while tastings and direct sales centre on the products listed above.

Church history in nearby Saint-Pair-du-Mont

The Église Saint Paterne in nearby Saint-Pair-du-Mont was built largely in the 13th century. Its tower houses a bell from the former church of Saint-Laurent-du-Mont. That former church was demolished during the Revolution; the bell bears the date 1780. The Église Saint Paterne also preserves a highly Baroque wooden tabernacle from the same former church. The dates should be distinguished: the 13th century refers to the main construction of the Église Saint Paterne, 1780 is inscribed on the bell, and the demolition concerned the former church of Saint-Laurent-du-Mont.

Manor house and landmarks along the D50 and D101

The Manoir de Cœur-Joye dates from the 16th century and lies on the D50, on the descent towards Notre-Dame-d'Estrées. This places two different construction periods side by side with the Église Saint Paterne, which was built largely in the 13th century; the church is in nearby Saint-Pair-du-Mont.

The Oratoire Les Trois Rois is on the D101 towards Cambremer. A Calvaire is also on the D101, towards Crèvecoeur on the border with Saint-Pair-du-Mont. The directions distinguish the two landmarks: Cambremer is associated with the Oratoire, while Crèvecoeur and the border with Saint-Pair-du-Mont are associated with the Calvaire. For orientation, read each name together with its road and direction; the directions distinguish the landmarks more clearly than their shared road number.

The Brasserie Aux trois rois is also along the D50 in Saint-Laurent-du-Mont, within the commune of Cambremer. The D50 is therefore a point of reference for both the Manoir and the Brasserie, but the locations are identified differently: the Manoir is described by its direction towards Notre-Dame-d'Estrées, while the Brasserie is identified with Saint-Laurent-du-Mont.

Practical location information

The Trois Rois car park is in Saint-Laurent-du-Mont; check its availability locally. The Brasserie’s opening details and services may change, so it is advisable to check before visiting.
