Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy combines short and longer marked loops with nature activities and leisure pursuits. To plan your visit, first consider the pace you want for the day: the Sentier de la Trivalle has two loops of different lengths, while the Circuit de la Maison de la Vallée takes considerably more time. At the Base de Loisirs “La Forêt,” you’ll find nature interpretation and a mini-golf course; there are also fishing permits for Plan d'eau de la Broussonnié and activities at Aventure Parc.

Compare Hiking Trails by Time and Distance

Four marked routes offer different distances and time commitments. The red-marked loop on the Sentier de la Trivalle is three kilometers long and takes about an hour. It is suitable for families and runs mostly in the shade. The blue loop on the same trail is longer, at 4.5 kilometers; it is listed as taking about an hour and a half. It is considered relatively easy. This means there are two options of different lengths on the same trail, with the family-friendly description and mostly shaded route applying to the red loop.

The blue-marked Circuit du Garriguet also takes about an hour and a half. Its five kilometers wind through the pleasant countryside around Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy. Compared with the blue loop on the Sentier de la Trivalle, the route is slightly longer, with a similar stated duration. The yellow-marked route, the Circuit de la Maison de la Vallée, is the longest of the four routes described, at 13 kilometers and about four and a half hours; it includes some challenging sections. So when comparing the routes, consider both the duration and distance, as well as the difficulty listed for each. The “relatively easy” rating applies to the blue loop on the Sentier, not automatically to the other routes.

Nature and Leisure at the Base de Loisirs

The Base de Loisirs “La Forêt” is located in the center of Saint-Pierre-de-Trivisy, next to the municipal forest. It is open to visitors year-round free of charge; check access conditions before your trip. Leisure facilities include a mini-golf course. The Espace biodiversité offers free information about the wildlife of the local valleys, mountains, and forests. Another perspective is offered by the “les trésors de la nature” trail, which lets visitors experience the forest’s biodiversity in a fun and sensory way. The two nature activities therefore have different focuses: one on the wildlife of the surrounding landscape, the other on the forest’s biodiversity.

More Activities and Fishing

At Aventure Parc, the courses are protected by a continuous safety line. The park also offers bungee jumping, airbag jumps, catapult jumps, and paintball in a two-hectare forest area. If you’re planning a visit, check the operator’s current opening conditions before you travel.

At Plan d'eau de la Broussonnié, fishing permits are available for a day, a week, or a year, as well as no-kill permits. They are available from the tourist office and Ets Barthes. Together with the circular trails and the Base de Loisirs, these offer a range of activities without requiring everyone to follow the same day plan.
