Tréméreuc can be explored through several specific interests: a hiking route through the steep-sided Frémur valley, a mountain biking circuit, golf, and activities centred on cider and cooking classes. When planning, it helps to distinguish between the two routes: La Vallée du Frémur is longer and rated moderate, while Les bords du Frémur is shorter but rated difficult. There is also the Église Saint-Laurent, along with specific timing and age details for the food and drink activities.

Hiking through the Frémur Valley

La Vallée du Frémur is an 11-kilometre hiking route that starts at Place de la Butte in Tréméreuc. It is rated moderate and takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. The route passes through a winding, steep-sided valley along the wooded banks of the small coastal river Frémur. Along the way, it passes the former Moulin de Tréméreuc and continues to a rocky promontory above the valley, with beautiful viewpoints. The riverbanks, the former mill building and the viewpoints are among the specific features of this longer hike.

Hiking or mountain biking?

Les bords du Frémur is an 8-kilometre mountain biking circuit. It starts on Rue de l’Église in Tréméreuc and leads from the town centre along the voie verte to the banks of the Frémur. The route takes around 40 minutes and is rated difficult. Compared with the hiking route, the two options differ both in activity and in their stated details: the moderate hike covers 11 kilometres and takes approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, while the mountain biking circuit, rated difficult, covers 8 kilometres and takes around 40 minutes. Each time estimate applies to the route and activity described; they are not a direct comparison of the same means of travel. When choosing between the routes, you can therefore consider distance, duration and difficulty together.

Church and golf

The Église Saint-Laurent in Tréméreuc has traces of construction whose origins date back to the 12th century. The church offers a historical point of interest alongside the routes and leisure activities. At Golf de Tréméreuc, introductory sessions, lessons and courses are available throughout the year; the golf course has 9 holes. These activities offer a different focus from hiking through the valley or the mountain biking circuit, without requiring a particular length of stay.

Cider and seasonal tours

Cidrerie Distillerie Jouny offers farm-produced, naturally sparkling pure-juice cider, fine perries, apple juice and eaux-de-vie. Its range also includes organic farm produce made from heritage and local varieties grown in its orchards. Seasonal tours with tastings are scheduled from 9 April to 31 August on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon; the schedule may vary. Booking via the website is required. Check the date in advance if you are planning a visit. Each paying adult may bring a maximum of one child under seven free of charge.

Cooking and baking classes

Cook And Make runs three-hour classes for adults at its workshop at 4 Village des Landes, 22490 Tréméreuc. It also offers baking and chocolate-making classes for all ages, starting from age three. For planning purposes, note that the duration and workshop address apply to the adult classes, while the baking and chocolate-making classes are for ages three and up. Together with the cider activities, these classes give Tréméreuc a culinary focus that can be considered independently of the two routes.
