A yellow-marked hiking trail passes through Kamenná, and another runs in the surrounding area. There is also the Oslava, a distinctive rock formation and local history dating back to 1502. When planning a trip, you can consider nature and historical details as separate points of interest.

Hiking trails with different connections to the area

The yellow-marked hiking trail leads from the railway station in Studenec via Pyšel and along a stream to the Oslava. It continues upstream to Velké Meziříčí. Its particular connection to Kamenná: the route passes through the village. Check the trail markings on site before setting out.

A blue-marked hiking trail runs in the area around Kamenná along the cadastral boundary of Klementice and Studnice. Its route leads from Třebíč via Budišov, past the ruins of Dub Castle and through Tasov to Ořechov. The yellow trail passes through Kamenná; the blue one runs nearby. This distinction helps you keep the two routes separate when planning, rather than combining them into a single route.

The Mlynářská stezka also runs past Kamenná along the Oslava. It starts in Nové Město na Moravě and ends in the area of Lower Austria. The route thus connects starting and ending points that are far apart. Before setting out, it is worth checking the current trail conditions.

Rock formations and landscape

The natural formation “balvanovité krajinné ostrůvky” lies between the road from Budišov and the road to Klementice. Within the area, Čertova ruka is the highest point; it also has the largest rock blocks there. Its name, location and the distinctive position of this point give the landscape a specific local connection.

Thorovo kladivo is also located near Kamenná, at a viewpoint, fixed into a large rock. A report from June 2025 describes the installation. Before making a special trip to see it, check whether it is still intact.

Local history in stone

The Buršík manor house has been historically documented in Kamenná since 1502; the tradition names Tomáš Buršík as an early reference. The year 1807 is carved above the entrance to the residential section. In terms of architectural history, the manor is considered the most valuable of the local houses. The two dates distinguish the early historical reference from a specific architectural detail.

A monument to the victims of the First World War, erected in 1920, stands in the village square. Stone sundials are also among the local features and are associated with the stonemasons of Kamenná. Those interested in local history will find different forms of commemoration and stonework, without them being combined into a single attraction.

A Smírčí kámen (reconciliation stone) is located nearby, about 500 metres from a cross in the direction of the Oslava. The granite block bears a carved patriarchal cross. The stone thus adds a nearby point of interest to the historical details in the village.

Swimming area and event dates

A fire pond in Kamenná is used as a swimming area called “Koupaliště” (swimming pool). The area also includes a nohejbal court. As seasonal opening conditions are not specified, check the current terms of use before planning to go swimming.

Masopust (the pre-Lenten carnival) includes a masked procession and an evening dance event. Kameňák is a beer triathlon held in July. If you want to plan your trip around either event, check the date in advance.
