Stošíkovice Na Louce combines viticulture and orchards with buildings in a variety of architectural styles. If you are looking for a holiday apartment for a stay in the village, you can base your choice of location on the agricultural landscape and the village’s architecture. The village is home to a simple chapel in Neo-Gothic forms and a Baroque column of the Holy Trinity.

Viticulture and Landscape

The U tří dubů wine-growing area belongs to the Moravian wine region, the Znojemská subregion and the wine-growing village of Stošíkovice Na Louce. It lies among orchards and vineyards near the Jevišovka and Skalička rivers. Extensive orchards and vineyards also stretch south and east of Stošíkovice. The cultivated land thus shapes the landscape, while the two rivers are specific geographical reference points for the wine-growing area.

Farma U tří dubů also cultivates orchards and vineyards in Stošíkovice. Its U Tří dubů estate covers 150 hectares, of which 70 hectares are currently orchards and 40 hectares vineyards. The two specified land uses add up to 110 hectares; the stated orchard area is 30 hectares larger than the vineyard area. This makes it possible to compare the two types of cultivation not only as features of the landscape but also by the areas under cultivation.

Buildings in the Village

The bell tower is a simple chapel in Neo-Gothic forms and is a defining feature of the village square. Its historicist architecture features a Neo-Gothic pointed-arch entrance portal and a lesene frame with a sawtooth motif. The portal shape and frame motif are two distinct details: the pointed arch marks the entrance, while the sawtooth motif decorates the lesene frame. Alongside the chapel’s simple form, these specific architectural features stand out.

The column with the sculptural group of the Holy Trinity creates a different impression. It is a Baroque composition of sandstone and limestone on a tall Tuscan column. “ANNO / MDCCXXXI” is engraved on the base; the date is 1731. The column is considered a significant work of art history and a cultural monument. In contrast to the Neo-Gothic bell tower, the focus here is on Baroque forms, a sculptural group, stone materials and an explicitly engraved date.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk also stands on the road to Bantice. It adds a single figure to the village’s depictions of saints, while the Holy Trinity column features a sculptural group. The two sacred works of art thus differ in their subject matter.

Understanding Cycling and Hiking Routes

Neither a hiking trail nor a cycle route passes through Stošíkovice Na Louce. However, cycle route No. 5008 (ZN) runs near the municipal area. This distinction is important when planning a cycling trip: the route is near the municipal area, but it does not pass through the village as a cycle route.
