Dluhoste can be planned around two clearly distinct route themes: marked hiking trails and a signposted cycling tour. On foot, trails lead to the geological site of Vysoký kámen; by bike, Dluhoště is part of a tour to Sokolčí and Hradišťský vrch. A detour via Hradiště leads to a lookout tower on Hradišťský vrch. When making your choice, you can first decide whether to focus on a geological hiking destination or on the cycling tour and its named stops.

Hiking to Vysoký kámen

A yellow-marked hiking trail continues to Dluhoště. The hike through the Slepičí hory also follows a yellow-marked trail from the parking lot in the direction of Dluhoště. Markings and trail conditions may change; check them before setting out.

The geological site of Vysoký kámen can be reached via a walkable tourist trail. A red-marked continuation of the hike also leads to Vysoký kámen, formerly called Slepice. The historical name refers to the same mountain, not to another route destination. This brings together a geologically named place, a tourist access trail, and a marked hiking route at a specific destination. If you are looking for a geological point of interest when choosing a route, Vysoký kámen is the named landmark. The hiking options therefore differ by marking and destination: yellow leads in the direction of Dluhoště, and red to Vysoký kámen.

Cycling Tour and Lookout Tower

The signposted cycling tour passes through Dluhoště to Sokolčí and Hradišťský vrch. Near Velké Skaliny, the cycling route connects to Cycle Route 1190. The tour therefore includes both specific destinations and a connection to a numbered cycle route. For orientation, it is helpful to distinguish between them: Sokolčí and Hradišťský vrch are tour destinations, while Velké Skaliny marks the connection point.

After Dluhoště, a detour via Hradiště leads to a lookout tower on Hradišťský vrch. The mountain is also a destination on the signposted cycling tour, whereas the tower is reached via the detour. This gives Hradišťský vrch two distinct roles in your plans: a tour destination and the location of the lookout tower. If you would like to include the tower, treat the route via Hradiště as an additional section. Check the route connections, road conditions, and access to the lookout tower before setting off.

Understanding the Route Connections

There are two different connection points to distinguish on Cycle Route 1190. At Dluhoště, the yellow-marked hiking route through the Slepičí hory joins this cycle route; at Velké Skaliny, the cycling route described here connects to it. One point marks the transition from the hiking route to the cycle route, while the other marks the cycling tour’s connection to the same route. Dluhoště and Velké Skaliny are therefore not interchangeable references. When comparing the routes, check whether the information in question refers to the hiking trail or the cycling route.
