Přívrat lies in the upper reaches of the Kozlovský hřbet ridge, near the pass crossed by the road from Litomyšl to Česká Třebová. Forests, ponds and trails shape the area’s landscape, alongside its cultural history and activities that vary with the season. When planning your trip, you can choose between different highlights: nature experiences, winter sports and local culture.

Forests and ponds in the local landscape

The Zacharovce woodland lies in the northern part of Přívrat. Continuous strips of forest run along the edge of the cadastral area. The bodies of water also have individual names: the five ponds are Dolní Přívratský rybník, Trucovný rybník, Prostřední rybník, Komárek and Horní rybník. Forest and water are thus two defining features of the local landscape, with the woodland to the north and five distinct ponds.

Trails for walking and winter activities

Marked hiking trails connect Přívrat with nearby towns. Check route details before your trip. In winter, these trails can also be used for cross-country skiing. One specific walking route runs from Přívrat to Dlouhá Třebová: it is about 3 km long and takes approximately 35 minutes. These estimates can help with your planning; take conditions into account before setting out.

Another winter option is the Přívrat SKI AREÁL. The public ski lifts operate daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the winter months, provided there is enough snow; the operator’s decision also applies. The downhill slopes are intended for alpine skiing and snowboarding, with access subject to operating conditions. Unlike cross-country skiing on the marked trails, this area focuses on downhill slopes for these two sports. Check the ski area’s operating information before your trip.

Local history and culture

A cast-iron cross near house number 48 is registered as an immovable cultural monument and was restored in 2005. The monument to Karel Kovařovic commemorates the composer’s time in Přívrat: he composed the opera Psohlavci here in 1896. Přívrat is also home to the branch church of sv. Františka Xaverského. If you are planning to attend a service, check the service schedule in advance.

Přívratské Vinobraní also brings local history together with a culinary occasion. The festival dates back to a local tradition from the 1930s and was revived in 1987. Offerings include wine, Burčák and traditional potato pancakes; the exact menu may vary. If you would like to plan your trip around the festival, check the dates for each event.

The international Antonína Bennewitze Music Festival has borne his name since 1999 and includes a concert in Přívrat. Antonín Bennewitz was born there. If the festival is the focus of your trip, the dates of the individual concerts are key; they may vary.

Seasonal activities

At the PINGUin park in Přívrat, children and adults can try a bungee trampoline. The activity is seasonal; operating conditions and availability may change. Check availability for your visit. Alongside the winter options, this creates a seasonal contrast: in winter, visitors can choose cross-country skiing and ski lifts that operate subject to conditions, while the trampoline is available seasonally.
