There are several different ways to explore Čeřenice: a cycling route passes through the village, a blue-marked hiking trail to Český Šternberk runs through it, and access to Studánka Habrovka begins at the village green. Stone monuments, a column chapel and a memorial also give the village historical and legendary points of interest. When looking for accommodation, you can plan your stay around whether you want to focus on a cycling loop, a hiking destination or local landmarks.

Cycling Route 1/A: Loop with a Climb

Cycling Route 1/A is an approximately 16 km loop that passes through Čeřenice. It runs from Čeřenice via Bělokozly back to Sázava. On Cycling Route 1/A, the section from Poříčko climbs steeply to Čeřenice. The loop’s total length and the climb are therefore two separate points to consider: the full ride and the specific section from Poříčko to Čeřenice.

Hiking Trail and Local Waypoints

The blue-marked hiking trail to Český Šternberk passes through Bělokozly and Čeřenice. This gives you different options for an outing: the cycling route is an approximately 16 km loop, while the hiking trail has a named destination in Český Šternberk.

One local waypoint is Studánka Habrovka in Sázava–Čeřenice. From the village green in Čeřenice, you can reach it via an approximately 200-metre-long, unmarked paved lane. The difference is clear for navigation: the lane to the spring is unmarked, while the hiking trail to Český Šternberk is marked blue.

A path leads to Bílý kámen, a hill with an abandoned limestone quarry. If you plan to visit the quarry, check access locally.

Stone Monuments and the Village Green

Kámen sv. Prokopa is a named stone monument on the route from Čeřenice towards Křešický potok. Local tradition links it to a cross said to have been left by Saint Procopius with his thumb, and to scratch marks attributed to Satan.

Čertův kámen lies in Čeřenice on the bank of Křešický potok, in a deeply incised valley. A wooden sign with a tourist marking, renewed regularly, identifies the stone. A similar stone lies directly on the path from Čeřenice to Český Šternberk, on the left bank of Křešický potok opposite a wooden footbridge in the Kolotoče area. The valley and sign help you locate Čertův kámen; the similar stone is identified by its riverbank, bridge and the Kolotoče area.

A column chapel with a bell function stands on the village green in Čeřenice. Pomník u Čeřenic is a memorial in Sázava–Čeřenice, first documented in writing in 1937.
