The Ričica rises in Raduč at 595 metres above sea level; the permanent spring complex Studena vrela is also located here. There is also a guided Nikola Tesla Trail and offerings from a local farm. This makes it possible to enjoy nature, hiking and regional produce as different highlights of a stay in Raduč.

Water and Hiking Trails

The Raduč–Bunovac–Malovan trail is listed as one of three marked hiking routes in the Municipality of Lovinac; trail conditions depend on the weather. An 11-kilometre forest road to Bunovac starts in Raduč. Check road conditions and local access before setting out.

For a guided experience, there is the “Nikola Tesla Path” tour, which follows trails associated with Tesla’s visits to Raduč during his childhood. The programme includes a tasting at a farm, a hike over Teslina Kosa, Obljaj, Okić and Dobrića Kosa, a stop by a campfire and a meal featuring local dishes. The route uses unmarked forest roads and forestry tracks. Two guides accompany each group; suitable clothing and footwear are required, as is advance booking.

Farm Products and Seasonal Offerings

OPG Naša Farma in Raduč specialises in organic raspberry cultivation. The farm’s Lika Quality products include fresh raspberries, raspberry jam, raspberry syrup and fruit spread; product availability may vary by season. The farm also offers truffle hunting in the forest with trained dogs, followed by tastings of local farm products. This experience depends on the season and weather and must be arranged in advance. Visits to OPG Naša Farma are by prior arrangement only.

Places of History

The past is also tangible in specific places. Ceramic fragments indicate that Kalinića obljaj in Raduč was inhabited in the Late Bronze Age. The Orthodox church in Raduč is associated with Milutin Tesla’s baptism and was among the first local sites to be restored after Operation Storm. Radučka Gradina is a ruin, with only traces of its walls remaining. The prehistoric settlement, the church and post-war history, and the ruins offer different ways to explore local history.

Hiking in the Wider Municipality of Lovinac

In the wider destination of the Municipality of Lovinac, two educational trails differ considerably in length and route. The Ričica Educational Trail is 2,175 metres long and runs along the river’s north bank between the bridges on the roads near Matijevići and Mašića most. The Resnik Educational Trail is 6,108 metres long in total: it starts on the mountain’s southern side near the access road to the hamlet of Matijevići, follows two branches across the mountain’s southern and western or northern sides, and ends at the summit of Resnik. There are trail signs, information boards, tables and benches for resting along the route. You should confirm the condition of this infrastructure locally before your visit.
