Centreville brings together a distinctive architectural history, golf and nearby outdoor options. The Centreville Concrete House was the first reinforced-concrete building in the Annapolis Valley; it was built just 20 years after the first building of its kind in Europe.
Golf and Nearby Trails
Centreville is on Route 359, which heads toward North Mountain. The Eagle Crest Golf Course is located in Centreville’s Eagle Watch Area, in the Annapolis Valley. The course has two Trackman golf simulators. Availability may change, so check before your visit.
The Hall’s Harbour Eco-Trail is on West Halls Harbour Road in Centreville. An older trail description lists a ½-kilometre loop. Trail conditions and markers may change, so check them before setting out.

Centerville Recreation Park (Percy A. Lydiard Park) is a place for families with children. It adds another local outing idea to golf, local history and trail options.
More Trails in the Wider Kings County Destination
Hiking trails in the wider Kings County destination vary in length and layout. Cape Split offers a moderate backcountry hike of about 13.2 kilometres round trip. The Blomidon Hiking Trails form a 13.5-kilometre network of interconnected trails with access to different habitats and viewpoints. These figures describe different planning measures: Cape Split’s distance is given as a round trip, while Blomidon’s refers to the trail network. The Jodrey Trail runs along 183-metre-high sea cliffs and offers several viewpoints overlooking the Minas Basin.
The Acadia Nature Trail passes through a wooded area north of Acadia University, with information along the trail. The Stronach Park & Fitness Trail is an easy loop through the woods with several fitness stations. These offer two distinct options: an informative nature trail and a forest loop with exercise stations.
The Reservoir Park Trail offers panoramic views of Cape Blomidon and the Minas Basin, an unsupervised beach on a pond, and access to the Millennium Trail. The Gorge offers several trails for walking, hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The Waterville Recreation Club makes 17 acres of meadow and woodland, with walking trails and an off-leash dog park, available to the public.
