Pitt Meadows brings together a range of attractions: the Pitt River Regional Greenway along the dykes of two rivers, sites that reflect the area’s history, and the disc golf course in Bonson Park. You can shape your stay around the landscape, heritage or a specific recreational activity.

Hiking, Cycling and Birdwatching

The first phase of the Pitt River Regional Greenway is open and extends 10.2 kilometres westward: from the waterfront park at Harris Landing, at the foot of Harris Road in Pitt Meadows, to Ferry Slip Road. The Greenway follows the dykes of the Fraser River and Pitt River. Hiking, cycling and birdwatching are possible there; sightings are not guaranteed. Later phases or access conditions may change, so it is worth checking trail information before your visit.

There is a hiking guide for Pitt Meadows with 16 local trails. Pitt Meadows also has scenic trails, dykes and cycling routes. It is helpful to understand the difference when planning: the Greenway focuses on a specifically described section with defined endpoints, while the hiking guide offers a selection of 16 local trails. You can therefore plan around either a named section or the selection in the hiking guide.

Sites That Reflect Local History

The General Store and Post Office Site (1908) is a heritage-designated building and the oldest known structure in Pitt Meadows. The Hoffmann and Son Site houses more than sixty restored stationary engines. The two sites offer different points of focus: one centres on a historic building, the other on a collection of technical machinery. Together, they offer two specific perspectives on Pitt Meadows’ heritage—through a well-known building and restored engines.

Grant Narrows and the Surrounding Protected Area

Grant Narrows is in northern Pitt Meadows and serves as the gateway to the surrounding Pitt-Addington Marsh Wildlife Management Area. Grant Narrows is therefore a clearly named reference point for travellers who may want to include the protected area in their plans. It complements the routes along the river dykes with another landscape destination in the north of the community.

The Grant Narrows boat launch is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations. If you plan to use the launch, check the latest information before your visit: jurisdiction and conditions may change.

Disc Golf in Bonson Park

The Bonson Park Disc Golf Course is located at 11546 Bonson Road in Pitt Meadows. It is open for play and designed for all ages and skill levels. Depending on conditions, use your own judgment about whether to play and check the location in advance.
