Boazat can be identified by two specific features: its location in the river valley and the road that runs through the village. The river and mountain landscape, as well as the route of the road, provide geographical orientation when choosing where to stay. Individual natural and cultural attractions have their own starting points and access conditions; they can therefore be considered as separate choices for visits.

Location between a ridge and a river valley

Boazat lies in the northern foothills of the ChernovrĹshki Ridge and in the valley of the Gradnishka River. The same river is also called the Boazka and is a right tributary of the Vidima. The two river names therefore do not refer to two different bodies of water: Gradnishka and Boazka refer to the same river in the valley. Together with the ChernovrĹshki Ridge, these landscape features give the village a clear geographical setting.

Road connection through Boazat

The municipal road GAB1165 runs through Boazat. It heads north via Stolat to Sevlievo and south to Apriltsi. The route from the Sevlievo area through Boazat towards Apriltsi is listed as 20.2 kilometres. GAB1165 is considered an access route to cultural and historical monuments, natural sites, and places for tourism and recreation. The road description thus connects a specific location with regional destinations. Check road conditions before setting out, as they can change.

Mountain landscape and activities near Boaza

The mountain scenery near Boaza and the hamlet of Delak includes open meadows and the distinctive Levi Vrah. Possible activities in this area range from mountain hikes and excursions to outdoor picnics, as well as gathering herbs and mushrooms, fishing, and hunting. The options offer different kinds of experiences: hikes and excursions involve travelling on foot, while picnics, gathering, fishing, and hunting are other ways to spend time outdoors.

Memorial site south of the village

The Gradnishki-Boaz Memorial Complex lies about four kilometres south of Boazat. It commemorates rebels who died in fighting in the area in 1876. For those interested in cultural history, the memorial site offers a specific connection to the fighting and its historical context.

More natural attractions and how to reach them

The Forest Interpretation Complex is suitable for a day trip and offers an open-air exhibition about the forests of Central Balkan National Park. The grounds have tables, benches, and fire pits; the facilities are accessible when hiking weather is suitable. Access to park facilities may be subject to seasonal conditions. From the complex, you can continue to the Waterholes Interpretation Route and Pleven Hut; park routes may change.

The Vodnite Dupki Route leads to the Severen-Dzhendem Reserve and Vodnite Dupki Cave. Its starting point is in the Vidima district of Apriltsi. A paved road leads as far as the Mazaneto area. In the reserve, visitors may only use marked routes; leaving these paths is not allowed. The road beside the Vidima HPP branch also leads towards the Vidima Praskalo eco-trail. Check current park access conditions before visiting. The difference is clear when choosing a day trip: the Forest Interpretation Complex focuses on the forest exhibition and visitor facilities, while the Vodnite Dupki Route leads to the reserve and the cave.
