Jacarezinho offers several distinct ways to shape a stay: the murals by Eugênio de Proença Sigaud, historic buildings, trails in the Refúgio de Vida Silvestre, and a cultural program featuring markets, music and theater. To plan your trip, you can first choose a focus and then check whether your travel dates coincide with an event. Heritage, nature trails and seasonal festivals offer different experiences; there is no need to turn them into a fixed sightseeing itinerary.

Heritage and Religious History

The murals by Eugênio de Proença Sigaud in Jacarezinho were recognized as heritage by the State of Paraná on December 14, 1990. In the city center is the Catedral Diocesana de Jacarezinho. Visitors come to see its preserved historic features and design elements from the period when it was built. The two cultural sites offer different perspectives: the murals represent Sigaud’s recognized work, while the cathedral’s preserved architectural and design features are the main focus.

The Estação Ferroviária de Jacarezinho is also listed in the heritage register. The listing is number 128-II and was made on October 10, 2000. Its registered location is Avenida Teixeira de Freitas, without a street number, in Vila Setti, Jacarezinho. If you would like to plan a visit to the station, check its current accessibility in advance. The Santuário da Mãe Rainha offers a religious and historical connection: it was inaugurated on October 18, 2008. Jacarezinho was the first city in Brazil to embrace the Mãe Rainha movement.

Walking Trails and a Green Retreat

For a break in nature, the RefĂşgio de Vida Silvestre de Jacarezinho has walking trails and an area for lunch. Alongside the cultural attractions, the town also offers trails and a place to stop for a meal. You can plan for both in the same day: time on the trails and a break in the designated area. The RefĂşgio adds a different way to spend your time to the cultural sites, without requiring you to combine nature and city history into a fixed route.

Markets, Music and Theater

The Feira Municipal de Artesanato brings local artisans together and broadens the range of activities for residents and visitors. In July 2026, the municipality reported that the market had been held monthly since December 2025. As future dates may change, check the latest schedule before your trip. Another recurring event is Fetexas, held annually at the Centro de Eventos.

The festival programs also feature different formats. The 10th edition of GeniusCon drew more than 7,000 people; its three-day program took place at the Centro de Eventos de Jacarezinho. The 19th edition of FEJACAN – Festival Jacarezinhense da Canção, held in November 2025, featured four days of Brazilian music, public performances and special shows at the city’s schools. XXI EnCena ran from May 18 to June 1, 2026. It presented 13 plays and six short scenes, with a total of 33 performances. These formats can be distinguished by interest: a three-day program with a large audience, music and performances at schools, and an extensive theater program. If you are planning to attend a festival, check the dates and program for that edition.
