Nature at Parque Municipal CinturĂŁo Verde
Parque Municipal CinturĂŁo Verde covers 523 hectares of Atlantic Forest. On the Trilha do Arboreto, visitors can encounter centuries-old plants; the trail also promotes environmental education. Here, you can discover nature both through its plants and through learning about it.
The Ecomuseu do Cinturão Verde Mario Padial is also located in the same park. It opened in 2000 and presents themed exhibitions on the region’s fauna and flora. The trail and museum offer different ways to explore: the trail focuses on centuries-old plants and environmental education, while the museum presents the region’s fauna and flora through themed displays. Religious Art and History
Circuito da Fé is a guided tour of Cianorte’s five parishes. Each has its own architecture and history. Comparing several parishes gives the tour a different focus from a visit centered on a single work of art. Tour availability may vary, so check in advance.
At Santuário EucarĂstico Diocesano, visitors can see works by visual artist Dirceu Rosa and the famous Via Sacra by sculptor Aristeo Piovesan. This means Cianorte offers a choice between exploring the parishes’ architecture and history and viewing specific works of religious art.
Walking Paths and Getting There
Cianorte has 35 kilometers of paved, publicly lit paths for walks around the city. Their focus differs from that of the Trilha do Arboreto: the trail offers encounters with centuries-old plants and environmental education, while the paths within the city are for walking. You can choose between an urban walking route and a nature trail.
Cianorte can be reached by car or bus via the PR-323 and PR-082 highways. Check road conditions before setting off and plan your journey according to your chosen mode of transport.
Fishing and Regional Cuisine
Pesqueiro Pantanal offers daytime fishing. You can eat your catch as a fillet or Isca, or take it home. The experience combines fishing with several ways to enjoy your catch. Operating conditions may change; check them before your visit.
The municipality’s signature dish is stuffed, boneless chicken. The Festival Gastronômico is associated with an offering of the dish on July 26. Check the current program before your trip before adding the date to your plans. Along with the fishing experience, the dish showcases another side of Cianorte: its cuisine.
