An 11-metre diving tower, listed heritage sites and three routes of different lengths give Seiersberg some specific points of interest for a stay. There is also the ShoppingCity and the Florianifest. Depending on your interests, diving, culture, shopping or outdoor activities may take centre stage.

Diving at the indoor pool

The Seiersberg diving tower is an indoor pool with an 11-metre diving tower and a diving school in Seiersberg near Graz. The introductory diving experience includes a theoretical briefing, a dive in the indoor pool or diving tower, all the diving equipment and professional guidance from a diving instructor. As course packages may change, check the latest details in advance.

Listed heritage sites

The Viktor von Geramb memorial in Seiersberg is a listed heritage site. The statue of St John of Nepomuk at Gottingerweg 9, in the cadastral area of Seiersberg, is also protected. The listed Paar-Kreuz field and wayside chapel is located in the immediate vicinity of Seiersberg. This distinction is useful for orientation: Paar-Kreuz is nearby, while the memorial and statue are associated with Seiersberg or its cadastral area.

Florianifest and beer

The traditional Florianifest takes place on the mountain of the same name between Straßgang and Seiersberg-Pirka. Dates are planned each year, so check the latest schedule if you would like to include the festival in your trip. At the festival, “Floriani-Bier”, brewed especially for the occasion, is served by Sudhaus, the staff restaurant of Anton Paar GmbH. The private “Golden Legends Brewery Club” has also been brewing various beers at a small brewery in Gedersberg since 2019 and serving them at the festival. The club’s participation and the food and drink on offer may vary from year to year.

ShoppingCity Seiersberg

ShoppingCity Seiersberg has more than 180 shops; the number may change. There are also restaurants and service businesses. The centre includes Kinder-Löwenland, a supervised and staffed children’s area. So, in addition to retail, the centre offers dining, services and a supervised area for children.

Walks and winter sports on Gedersberg

Gedersberg is ideal for walks and leisurely hikes. When there is enough snow, an approximately 250-metre ski slope with a drag lift is also available. This seasonal offering is aimed primarily at local residents and children, and operation depends on snow conditions. If the slope is important to your trip, check the snow conditions in advance.

Comparing the routes

The SR 1 cycle route runs from Neuseiersberg via the ShoppingCity to Mantscha, is 8.5 kilometres long and is rated easy to moderate. The SR 2 is an easy, 4.1-kilometre route for scooters; it connects Neuseiersberg, the ShoppingCity, the municipal centre and the neighbouring municipality of Pirka. The SR 3 is 1.1 kilometres long, connects Graz with Pirka and runs along MitterstraĂźe. The three routes therefore differ in length and use: the SR 1 is the longest route designated as a cycle route, the SR 2 is an easy scooter route, and the SR 3 is the shortest connection. Check the current signage before setting off.
