Hiking to Alpine Pastures and into the Forsterbach Valley
The “Forsterbachtal–Hofmannalm–Flatscheralm–Lercheggalm” route starts in Vorstanddorf-Au. From there, it follows a gravel road into the Forsterbach Valley and continues to the Hofmannalm. It then passes the Flatscheralm on the way to the Lercheggalm; the descent follows Trail No. 16 to Wörth. This route is listed as taking around 3.5 hours, covering 8.1 kilometres and climbing 930 metres. When planning, you can take the duration, distance and ascent into account together.
Another hike follows the “Fröstlberg–Forsterbachtal” route over alpine meadows and through forests up to the Hofmannalm. For the descent, the easy Trail No. 15 through Vorstanddorf to Wörth is an option. Conditions can change with the seasons. You can take Postbus route 640 to the starting point at Wörth Fröstlberg; check the current timetable before travelling.
The “Poseralm–Wörth” route also passes through the Forsterbach Valley on the descent: the trail goes via the Scherreithof to Vorstanddorf and continues to Wörth. This means specific trail sequences through the valley and the village are described for hikes approaching from different directions.
Winter Hiking and Finding Your Way Around the Village
