Chadstone’s namesake shopping centre makes shopping its clear focus: the centre describes itself as Australia’s largest shopping centre and a world-renowned destination for fashion and entertainment for visitors from Australia and overseas. For trip planning, there is also a free shuttle, a Shopping Passport for eligible visitors, and two reserves with different facilities. First consider whether shopping or one of the specific facilities is the main focus of your stay.

Shopping and the Tourist Shopping Passport

The centre’s own description highlights fashion and entertainment. The Chadstone Tourist Shopping Passport fits this focus: it offers visitors more than 100 exclusive deals across luxury brands, Australian designers, men’s and women’s fashion brands, homewares and other categories. The Passport is free and available to visitors who live more than 50 km from Chadstone. Eligibility therefore depends on where you live, not on the distance travelled for an individual visit. The offer is subject to this requirement and is not guaranteed to all visitors. If you plan to use the Passport, confirm current eligibility and offer conditions with Chadstone, as both the number of offers and participation conditions may change.

Getting there on the Tourist Shuttle

The free Chadstone Tourist Shuttle runs several times a day between Federation Square and Chadstone, in both directions. If you want to use the service, check the current timetable before travelling, as shuttle details may change. Check the departure times for both outbound and return trips if you plan to use the shuttle for both legs. This lets you plan your arrival and return around the departures that suit you.

Two reserves, different features

The two reserves offer alternatives to shopping, and their features are clearly different. At Rosemary Street Reserve, the playground has benches and a drinking fountain. Jordan Reserve has a pavilion, an oval and synthetic cricket practice nets. This gives you a clear distinction when choosing: if a playground with seating and drinking facilities is important, you’ll find that combination at Rosemary Street Reserve; the oval and cricket practice nets are at Jordan Reserve. Facilities may change, so check before your visit.

Planning your visit

When planning, it helps to organise the information by purpose. The shopping centre and reserves can help you choose the focus of your visit; the shuttle and Passport answer different practical questions. The Passport depends on where you live, while the shuttle connects Federation Square and Chadstone. You can first decide what you’re visiting for, then check the relevant conditions.
