Salina Colorada Grande is a salt deposit between the departments of Hucal and Caleu Caleu, associated with salt known as “sal de cosecha” (harvest salt). Another historical landmark is the Museo Histórico y del Recuerdo de la Asociación Israelita Dr. Theodor Herzl, which opened on May 24, 2023. The Centro Criollo Don Jacinto holds jineteada (gaucho horseback events) and traditional gaucho skill demonstrations on the fourth Sunday in October.
