Enumclaw brings together the town’s history, the Foothills Trail, and an events calendar featuring parades, festivals, and markets. For travel planning, the occasion is a good place to start: the historic walking tour focuses on the town’s logging heritage, the trail passes historic structures and a former railroad corridor, and many events take place on specific dates.

Town History and the Foothills Trail

The historic walking tour through Enumclaw features sidewalk markers and statues honoring the town’s logging heritage. The Enumclaw History Museum is open Thursdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Check opening hours before your visit.

The Foothills Trail crosses the abandoned historic Boise Creek Bridge and the White River on its way to Buckley. One section starts at 252nd Avenue South, just south of Enumclaw, and follows a former railroad corridor; it was completed in fall 2024. A bridge on the Foothills Trail connects regional trails in King and Pierce counties as part of the four-county Leafline Trails Network. The walking tour thus highlights the local logging heritage, while the trail showcases historic infrastructure and regional trail connections.

Market, Parades and Festivals

The Enumclaw Plateau Farmers’ Market brings produce from farmers in the Enumclaw area to residents and visitors. The market also invites people to support local farmers, craftspeople, and creatives. Its focus on producers and creative professionals sets it apart from the parades and events held at the Expo Center.

At least three parades each year travel along Cole Street: the Stars and Stripes Fourth of July Parade, the Enumclaw High School Homecoming Parade, and the Christmas Parade. Enumclaw also hosts two wine walks, a beer festival, and a wine and chocolate festival. Dates may change. If you’re traveling for a particular parade or festival, check the specific date before planning your trip.

Events at the Expo Center

The Enumclaw Expo Center spans 72 acres, with multipurpose buildings, landscaped event areas, parking, and arenas, and can host events. Its offerings range from weddings and concerts to dog shows and motorcycle rallies. Events at the center also include the King County Fair, the Enumclaw Wine & Chocolate Festival, the Seattle Scottish Highland Games and Clan Gathering, the Olympic Kennel Club Dog Show, and the Enumclaw Pro-Rodeo. If you’d like to plan your trip around one of these events, be sure to factor the specific date into your plans.

Plan Your Stay Around the Occasion

For a museum visit, keep opening hours in mind; for a trip to a parade or festival, the event date is key. That way, you can align your travel dates with the experience that matters most to you.
