A moderate hike marked in red and white begins in Sörlyckan in Sävedalen and follows small forest paths over the ridges of Knipeflågsbergen. The Sörlyckan–Bertilssons stuga trail is 3.5 kilometres long. About halfway along the route, there is a viewpoint overlooking lilla Björketjärn. Check the route details before setting out. The red-and-white markings help you find your way on this hike.

Forest trails and route profiles

Sävedalen’s illuminated running trail is an alternative with a different profile: it is 3.2 kilometres long, also moderate, and runs mostly along gravel paths through the forest, passing Blacktjärn. In terms of length, it is only 0.3 kilometres shorter than the Sörlyckan–Bertilssons stuga trail. The two routes are therefore similar in length and difficulty, but differ in trail type, surface and landscape. When choosing, consider not only the distance but also whether you would rather hike on small forest paths or use an illuminated running trail.

Stans väg is five kilometres long, making it longer than the two routes mentioned above. From Soldatängen to Ugglemossen, a three-kilometre unlit gravel section is followed by two illuminated kilometres on the way towards Öjersjö. This division is a distinctive feature of the route and may be relevant to your choice if you want to factor lighting into your plans. It is 1.5 kilometres longer than the hike and 1.8 kilometres longer than the running trail.

An outdoor gym with five workout stations is located along Stans väg between Soldatängen and Blacktjärn in Sävedalen. If you are considering outdoor exercise in addition to a hike or run, this specific location can help you find your way.

Culture and getting your bearings

Sävedalens kyrka was inaugurated in 1959. A municipal planning document from 2024 designates Sävedalens Folkets hus as a building of cultural value in the programme for the preservation and development of “Kulturmiljöer i Partille kommun”. The church and Folkets hus represent different facets of local culture in Sävedalen: ecclesiastical history and architecture recognised by the municipality for its cultural value.

Fornstugan is located among the villa properties in Sävedalen, at Magnusvägen 45. Sävedalens köpgata is on Göteborgsvägen, slightly west of the centre.
