Teulada gótica amurallada is designated as an Asset of Cultural Interest (Bien de Interés Cultural, BIC) in the Historic Ensemble category. The designation is based on a regional decree from 2007. La Vila is a historic walled settlement with a regular layout adapted to the topography of its hill. The ensemble was built from Tosca stone and preserves original architectural features, including arches and barrel vaults.

Churches and local cultural history
The Iglesia Parroquial de Santa Catalina Mártir is in the heart of Teulada and dates to the late 16th century. Historically, it also served a defensive purpose: as a fortified church, it offered refuge to the Moriscos. The building’s date of origin is therefore linked to a specific role in the town’s history.
The Sala de Jurats i JustĂcies houses the Centre d’estudis Vicentins. Its façade features a sundial dating from 1639; the Sala is also a stop on the Ruta Vicentina. The building, sundial and route bring together different aspects of cultural heritage here, without having to reduce them to a single theme.
The Ecomuseo L'ALMASSERA is housed in a former oil mill and wine press. It is part of the Centre Ecomuseogrà fic, which works to revive traditional occupations and skills. Audiovisual projections at the Ecomuseo illustrate the production process. The building’s former use and the projections thus offer two different points of reference for rural production: the site itself and the depiction of the production process.
Landscape and orientation
The Vall de les Sorts is a protected landscape on land within the municipality of Teulada. The protected area of Les Sorts covers approximately 100 hectares. Its landscape is defined by the contrast between a valley with a flat valley floor and the surrounding undulating terrain. As well as the historic town’s built features, the landscape and terrain therefore offer distinct themes to consider when planning a trip.
A signposted route leads from Teulada to Benimarco. Another notable place is the Ermita de la Font Santa, halfway between Teulada and Moraira; it is a pilgrimage site. The Ermita houses a spring which, according to popular tradition, sprang forth through the intervention of a saint. This tradition is not associated with a saint identified by name, but remains a local religious story.
Festivals throughout the year
The festival traditions also bring different seasonal highlights. The Fiestas Patronales de Teulada take place in April in honour of San Vicente Ferrer. In August, the Fiesta del Moscatel of Teulada/Moraira celebrates the region’s winemaking tradition. The April date is therefore tied to the dedication of the patron saint festival, while the August date highlights the regional winemaking tradition.
