Noáin offers a variety of things to discover: themed gardens, a historic aqueduct and the Gothic Iglesia de San Miguel. Routes and a daily connection to the centre of Pamplona are also options you can include in your plans.

Garden Areas and Lorenea

Parque de los Sentidos is divided into five themed areas: an English, French, Japanese and Mediterranean garden, as well as an edible garden. A central pond serves as the starting point, from which the garden areas can be reached. There is also a viewpoint with sweeping panoramic views. The different garden designs give the park more than one perspective: visitors interested in horticulture can explore it from that angle, while those who mainly want to experience the grounds as a whole can use the pond and viewpoint as additional reference points.

Lorenea in Noáin is also dedicated to ecological gardening and vegetable growing. The centre houses a permanent exhibition on the subject in the green spaces of Noáin–Elortzibar and also serves as the visitor reception centre for Parque de los Sentidos. In this way, Lorenea combines an exploration of gardening with a visit to the park. Guided tours are offered in two formats: one lasts 60 minutes; the 75-minute option adds information about the Lorenea bioclimatic house to the park areas. If you are planning a guided tour, check its availability in advance.

Aqueduct and Iglesia de San Miguel

The Acueducto de Noáin was inaugurated in 1790 as part of a water supply system running from the source area near Subiza to Pamplona. Its recorded measurements give an idea of the structure: the aqueduct was 1,250 metres long and had 97 arches. The largest arches were 18 metres high and 8.5 metres wide. The structure is recognised as an item of cultural heritage and is considered a characteristic work of neoclassical architecture in Navarra. Its history and dimensions make it a distinct point of interest alongside the gardens and religious monuments.

Iglesia de San Miguel is a Gothic church dating from the 14th century. Its floor plan consists of a single nave and a polygonal apse; the rib vault is divided into three sections. The architectural elements also display features from different periods: the Gothic tower includes an original Romanesque bell gable structure. The portico, built in the 18th century, shelters the Gothic portal. The 16th-century chancel is decorated with human heads, angels, grapes, birds and wild boars. Together, these details offer several ways to distinguish the building’s form, architectural elements and figurative decoration.

Routes and Connections to Pamplona

The local route “Excursión de Noáin a Zulueta” runs from Noáin to Zulueta via the old Camino Real and the N-240, then returns to Noáin. Noáin is therefore both the starting and finishing point of this route. When planning, check the condition of the route and the signage on site. Another local route, “Excursión de Yárnoz a Imárcoain”, also ends in Noáin. It is described as a separate route option; no connection between the two routes is specified.

If you would also like to visit the centre of Pamplona, Line 16 of the Comarca de Pamplona Regional Public Transport system connects Noáin with the city centre every day. Check the timetable and stops separately before planning your journeys. When choosing a hotel or other accommodation in Noáin, you can use these excursions, the park and the connection to Pamplona as different reference points. Consider which ones matter to your travel plans rather than assuming that a single attraction determines the most suitable location.

Festivals in Noáin

The Fiestas de San Miguel in Noáin are celebrated in honour of Saint Michael. If you would like to plan your trip around this occasion, check the event dates for your preferred travel period.
