In Tále, the options range from ski slopes and golf to an easy family walking trail and a reservoir that can be reached on foot from Bystrá dolina in about five minutes. When looking for a hotel in Tále, it helps to decide first which activities you want to shape your stay: skiing and cross-country skiing, golf, the nature trail or the reservoir. In particular, the winter ski slopes and cross-country trails depend on seasonal conditions.

Golf and winter activities

The 18-hole championship course Gray Bear is located in the Low Tatras National Park, in the Tále recreational centre. Tále also has a 9-hole golf academy where beginners can try golf under the guidance of experienced instructors. This makes the distinction clear when planning a golf outing: Gray Bear is designated as a championship course, while the academy offers beginners an instructor-led introduction.

Ski Tále has six ski lifts with a stated capacity of 4,110 people per hour. There are also 2.77 km of artificially snow-covered ski slopes. Lift capacity, slope length and snowmaking coverage may change as infrastructure is upgraded in the future. The H-100, TLV-A and TLV-C lifts operate for traditional evening skiing; operating days depend on seasonal conditions. Four cross-country ski loops of varying difficulty are groomed at the Ski, Golf and Hotel Resort Tále when snow conditions allow. If evening skiing or cross-country trails are important for your trip, check the relevant seasonal information in advance. Evening skiing dates depend on seasonal conditions, while trail grooming depends on snow conditions.

Nature trail and rope park

The Tále Nature Trail in the Bystrianska Valley is an easy route suitable for families with children. Wooden walkways run along the Bystrianka River; interactive features include a dendrophone and forest sounds. The route thus combines walking with stops that engage visitors with the forest through sound and interaction. The installations may be updated.

The Tarzánia rope park is also located in the Tále recreational centre. It offers a 292 m red course, a 180 m blue course and a children’s course. The red course is therefore 112 m longer than the blue one—a specific difference between the two courses with stated lengths. As the course layout may change, check the current setup before your visit.

Tále Reservoir

Tále Reservoir is located near Hotel Partizán in the Low Tatras, in the Bystrá dolina-Tále tourist area. From Bystrá dolina, it can be reached on foot from Hotel Partizán in about five minutes; the actual time may vary depending on trail conditions. A destination description dated 2019 mentions a children’s area with numerous swings and climbing frames by the reservoir. Check whether the area is currently available before your visit.
