A museum dedicated to the history of the Pomeranian Wall, a hall on military aviation, and a 31.35-kilometer circular walking route offer different ways to explore Miroslawiec. Cultural history and the surrounding landscape can each be at the heart of your trip.

Cultural History and Places of Remembrance

The Museum of the Battles for the Pomeranian Wall is located in the cultural center in Miroslawiec. Since 2011, the same cultural center has also had a hall dedicated to the history of military aviation. This brings two distinct historical subjects together: the battles for the Pomeranian Wall and military aviation.

Monuments also provide their own points of focus. A T-34/85 tank monument commemorates the soldiers who fell in the battle for the town in 1945. The SU-22 aircraft monument recalls the 58-year connection between the residents and military aviation. The Our Lady of Loreto monument offers another setting for remembrance: it honors all the aviators who served and continue to serve in Polish skies. Together, these memorials span the battle for the town and the history of aviation.

Buildings and Historical Traces

The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1721 by the von Blankenburg family. Inside are an 18th-century baptismal font and a choir gallery. The von Blankenburg family cemetery on Góra Piaskowa dates from the 19th century. The Wedel castle courtyard in Miroslawiec dates from around 1375 and is surrounded by a water-filled moat. These sites point to different periods: from the castle courtyard around 1375, through the church and its furnishings, to the 19th-century cemetery.

Circular Route, Landscape, and Swimming

The Pętla Mirosławiecka is a 31.35-kilometer circular walking route that starts and ends in Miroslawiec. The entire route is designated for pedestrians, cyclists, and Nordic walking enthusiasts. These three ways of using the same circuit offer different options for including it in your plans. At the end of the blue circular route, which passes through the town center, you can also visit the ruins of Wedel Castle. Check the latest visitor information in advance.

Miroslawiec lies in a broad hollow, with picturesque valleys formed by the Korytnica streams and wooded, hilly areas surrounding the town. Alongside its historical sites, the area’s defining landscape features include valleys, forests, and changes in elevation.

At the municipal level, there is also a bathing beach on Lake Kosiakowo, also known as Lake Korytnickie. It is a publicly accessible swimming area in the municipality of Miroslawiec. Check the latest seasonal dates before planning a day of swimming.

First decide which themes you would like to focus on during your stay, then look for hotels for your trip to Miroslawiec.
