With three marina basins, boat rental, green spaces and a designated picnic area, Lubczyna offers several specific reasons to spend time by the water. Described cycling routes also lead to the lakeside beach or follow sections with their own route characteristics. When choosing a holiday apartment, you can first decide whether boating, spending time outdoors or cycling should be the main focus. For practical planning, the availability of the rental boats you want and the condition of the cycling routes are particularly relevant.

Lubczyna Marina: Basins, Rentals and Navigation

Lubczyna Marina is part of the Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji w Goleniowie. Its three basins have a combined capacity of more than 70 boats. If you need this figure for a particular visit or mooring, confirm the capacity with the operator. Yachts can be chartered, and kayaks and pedal boats can be rented. Contact the marina directly to check whether the service you want is available on your planned dates.

The harbour is fairly well sheltered from the wind and is suitable for boats with a shallow draught. On entering, boats should follow the marked channel and watch out for shallows. Check the latest navigational conditions before setting out, as they can change. The marina also offers access to electricity, water and the internet, as well as recreational areas and parking. If you rely on specific facilities, check their operating availability in advance.

Green Spaces, Beach and Cycling Routes

The marina has extensive green spaces for recreation and a designated picnic area. It is intended for barbecues and campfires; check the local rules before using it. Alongside boating options, there are also places to take a break outdoors.

The cycling loop “Nad wodę, po słońce i zapach łąk,” published in 2013, passes through Lubczyna and continues towards the lakeside beach. The description identifies the beach as a rest stop for tired cyclists. This makes the beach a possible place to pause along the way; the route’s total length is not part of the route recommendation here. Check the route before setting out.

The Blue Velo cycling route follows a section of the coastal route to Lubczyna along the embankment. This section is close to the destination, unfinished, and sandy and overgrown in places. Check the route conditions before setting out, as they can change. The route descriptions therefore offer different guidance: the loop highlights the beach as a rest stop, while the Blue Velo section focuses mainly on the surface.

In the wider destination of Goleniów: History and Riverside Art

As a separate cultural theme, the wider destination of Goleniów offers historic buildings and art by the river. Brama Wolińska, also known as Brama Chrobrego, is a defensive gate built in the 14th century in the Gothic style. It is 26 metres high and has six storeys. Significant sections of the medieval town wall remain; the most interesting and best-preserved section lies southwest of the Old Town, beside the Ina.

Goleniów is also home to the Goleniowska Aleja Legend on the Ina, a riverside promenade renovated in 2013, with granite sculptures depicting local legends. The passageway of Brama Wolińska also houses the Centrum Informacji Turystycznej. Its information services include points of interest in the town and region, cycling routes, and cultural and sporting events. Goleniów can therefore be seen as a distinct focus for urban history and riverside art, separate from Lubczyna’s water and cycling activities.
