Rzuchów brings together a notable palace history, an old park, memorial sites and a cycling loop that passes the palace. This offers different focuses for planning a trip: architecture and nature, commemoration of the Silesian Uprisings, or a cycling route. You can shape your stay around whichever of these appeals to you, based on the specific places and occasions.
Palace and park: architectural history and trees
The palace in Rzuchów was built in 1888 by Heinrich Himml. The two-storey building is designed in the Historicist style and has a yellow-brick façade. Former farm buildings belonging to the estate stand directly beside the palace. Together, the building’s form, façade material and former farm buildings provide a specific way to explore the estate through its architectural and functional history.
The park surrounding the palace covers 3.8437 hectares. It is home to numerous old oaks, beeches and small-leaved lime trees. One pedunculate oak is estimated to be about 250 years old; it is the only recorded natural monument in the municipality of Kornowac. The area describes the park as a whole, while the pedunculate oak is a single reference point within this landscape, with an estimated age.
Commemoration and regional history
A monument in Rzuchów Park commemorates the heroism of the Silesians who fought in the Silesian Uprisings. Every year on 3 May, commemorations marking the anniversary of the Third Silesian Uprising are held at the Insurgents’ Monument. If you are planning to travel specifically for a ceremony, check the date and schedule for the relevant year in advance.
Chapel on Karola Miarki Street
A roadside chapel stands on a small rise on Karola Miarki Street. A 2019 report mentions new steps and a walkway, the painting of the interior and exterior walls, and the restoration of the figures of the Virgin Mary, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint John of Nepomuk, as well as the cross.
The monument and chapel represent different forms of remembrance in the town: the monument relates to the Silesian Uprisings, while the figures and cross mentioned above make the chapel’s religious character visible. Those interested in local history will therefore find both a political and a religious focus.
Cycling and cultural events
The 20-kilometre Black Loop cycling route passes through Rzuchów and goes by the palace; the route description was published in January 2026. If you choose cycling as your focus, the route offers a specific connection to the town and the palace along the way. Its length is a clear point of reference for planning your trip.
Cultural events such as festivals and concerts are held in the palace. If you would like to make one of these events the reason for your trip, check the specific date and access information in advance.
