In Krąg, you can include historic architectural styles, a manor park and trails with different destinations in your travel plans. At Kręgski Młyn, organised kayak tours and catamaran trips are also available. When searching for a holiday apartment, it helps to first decide on your preferred focus and dates: architectural history, a named route or water activities each involve different planning considerations.

Architectural History and Manor Park

The former Protestant church in Krąg was built in 1906–1907. Its neo-Gothic structure is made of brick and stands on stone foundations. Neo-Gothic describes the architectural style, while brick and stone are the building materials—two distinct aspects of its construction.

The church in Krąg features a Stations of the Cross painted in watercolour. It was blessed by Stefan Wyszyński, Primate of Poland. The church’s points of interest therefore include both architecture and a distinct work of art.

The manor park in Krąg is considered a scenic attraction. It includes lime trees estimated to be 400 to 500 years old. This age range is an estimate, not an exact dating of the individual trees.

Trails and Getting Around

Horse Trail A runs from Grabowiec to Krąg and is 25.7 kilometres long. Horse Trail No. 9 connects Krąg with Stara Kiszewa. Another nature, tourism and recreation trail runs from Krąg to Starogard Gdański and passes through the Dolina Wierzycy Natura 2000 area. The trails have different points of focus: a specified length, a connection to Stara Kiszewa and a route through the Natura 2000 area.

Another trail project connects Krąg and Żabno. It included the construction of a new footbridge over the Wierzyca; the project also included a viewing platform and car parks near the road viaduct. These features distinguish the project from routes described by their endpoints or the areas they pass through.

The Wierzyca and Activities at Kręgski Młyn

Near Kręgski Młyn, the Wierzyca has irregular banks and pronounced meanders. Kayak tours lasting from several hours to six days are organised at Kręgski Młyn; catamaran trips go to a floodplain. The water-based activities therefore differ in duration and destination. Horse-drawn carriage rides with Friesian stallions are also offered for exploring the surrounding area.

New kayaking facilities have been built along the Wierzyca kayak trail near Kręgski Młyn. The old railway viaduct on the Kręgski Młyn–Starogard kayak route is fitted with climbing holds; a cycle path runs across it. Check individual facilities before travelling. Use of the viaduct may be subject to maintenance or safety restrictions, so check its current condition before planning a specific trip.

The Kręgski Młyn site covers 18 hectares. It includes a stable and a private four-hectare lake with a sandy beach.
