The Regional Dance Group Competition and the community hall are two specific points of interest in Borki-Wyrki. The competition brings together different dance styles and editions from several years; the hall may be available for occasional rental, subject to prior arrangements. These offer different reasons to plan a trip: attending a specific edition of the competition or organizing a gathering yourself. Check dates and conditions to suit your planned stay. According to a municipal notice from May 2025, the community hall may occasionally be rented for a fee for private or commercial gatherings, conferences, celebrations, and family events. Its use must be arranged in advance with the person responsible for the hall; the application must be submitted to the Zbuczyn municipal administration at least ten days before the event. Contact the person responsible for the hall directly in advance to confirm availability and current conditions for your own gathering.

The Dance Group Competition: Editions and Program

At the 22nd Regional Dance Group Competition in Borki-Wyrki in 2024, formations, mini-formations, and folk dance groups were invited to participate. The planned range included ice dance, ballroom dance, dances from other nations, show dance, hip-hop, and cheerleading formations. The mix of different dance styles and the explicitly mentioned cheerleading formations makes the announced program broader than a folk dance competition alone.

In 2025, the Regional Dance Group Competition was held for the 23rd time. Ensembles from several counties in the Siedlecki, Łukowski, Sokołowski, Węgrowski, and Radzyński regions performed folk dances and modern choreography. By comparison, the information about the 2024 edition describes a broader planned range; for 2025, performances in two different styles are specifically mentioned.

The 24th competition was announced for May 22, 2026. It was intended for preschool children and pupils from primary and secondary schools; the performances were intended for an audience. If the competition is the reason for your trip, check the specific date and audience policy for the relevant edition during your desired travel period. For prospective participants, the announcements address different groups: in 2024, formations, mini-formations, and folk dance groups were invited; the announcement for the 24th competition was aimed at preschool children and pupils from primary and secondary schools. The school levels refer to the participants, while the audience information refers to the performances.

Planned Bus Stops on DK2

Two bus stop construction projects were planned along DK2: one in the direction of Międzyrzec Podlaski and one in the direction of Siedlce. Treat these projects as plans, not as ready-to-use arrival options. If you plan to travel by bus, check the current timetable and which stops are in service before departure. The directions indicate the context of the plans, but do not replace checking your connection for the day of travel.
