Łask brings together a redesigned Market Square in the Old Town, a museum in a historic townhouse, the wooden architecture of Kolumna and the municipal Zajączek bathing area. This places the town’s history, a distinctive architectural focus and waterside recreation alongside one another as different visitor interests. Plan your stay around whether you want to focus on exhibitions and the town centre, Kolumna, or seasonal opportunities at the reservoir.

Market Square, Museum and Rose Festival

The Muzeum Historii Łasku is located in a historic townhouse on the Market Square. Its permanent exhibitions cover the history of Łask on the Grabia River; the museum also presents temporary exhibitions. The redesigned Market Square is part of Łask’s Old Town and offers a second perspective on the town centre to complement a visit to the museum. If you want to visit for a specific temporary exhibition, check in advance whether it is currently on display.

The Rose Festival was first held in 2013, was well received and became a recurring event. If the festival is the reason for your trip, check the dates for the edition you want to attend in advance. This lets you plan your stay around a specific event date.

Kolumna: Wooden Architecture and the Garden City Concept

In Kolumna, a district of Łask, the layout draws on the garden cities that were popular around the turn of the 20th century; the district also has original wooden architecture. This sets it apart from a visit focused on the Market Square and museum: in Kolumna, the garden city concept and timber construction take centre stage. If you are interested in architecture, you can explore Kolumna as a distinct theme alongside the Old Town.

Zajączek: Bathing Area and Reservoir

The municipal Zajączek bathing area is located on a reservoir formed by the Grabia and Pisia rivers. The body of water, around two hectares in size, has a small island in its centre. The north shore is used for fishing; on the opposite shore there is a designated, supervised bathing area and a beach. The named activities are therefore located on different shores.

During the summer holidays, kayaks and smaller sports and leisure equipment are available to rent there. Rentals are seasonal; check availability before you travel. Bathing conditions can also vary seasonally. If you are planning a day of swimming, it is worth checking the latest information on water quality.

Routes and Orientation

There is also a specific point of reference for route planning: three of the four blue-marked sections of the Szlaki Ziemi Sieradzkiej run through Łask. If you want to include these sections, check current route conditions locally.

The tourist information centre in Łask provides information about local attractions and cultural events, walking and cycling routes, and the museum and leisure options in the town and its surroundings. You can ask there for the latest details on these topics.

In June 2025, the town described QR-code signs at selected locations in Łask, which let visitors listen on their smartphones to stories about the history of each place.
