When choosing accommodation in Mizerna, it helps to distinguish between the different types of outings. The lower part of the village reaches the shore of Lake Czorsztyńskie; the “Zatopiona Osada” cycle path section runs through Mizerna and Maniowy. The “Modrzewie” nature and forest education trail is in the surrounding area, while Mizerna can serve as a starting point for trips to Turbacz and Lubań. This offers a choice of different highlights: a lakeside location, cycling, a nature trail and two named mountain destinations. You can then decide which of these options matters most for your stay, rather than treating them as a single route.

Lakeside location and cycle route

The lakeside location applies to the lower part of Mizerna. The cycle route is specifically identified as the “Zatopiona Osada” section, which runs through Maniowy and Mizerna. For your planning, these are two distinct locations: the lakeshore in the lower part of the village and a cycle path section that connects both villages.

The Velo Czorsztyn rental network is another consideration for a cycling holiday. Mizerna is listed as a pick-up point. As operating details can change, check with the provider before making plans. This lets you consider the cycle path section and the rental information separately.

The “Modrzewie” nature and forest education trail

The Girowa Góra ridge and the “Modrzewie” nature reserve are in the surrounding area of Mizerna. The 10.43-hectare reserve protects a naturally occurring stand of Polish larch. A 250-metre forest path leads from Mizerna to the educational trail. It is paved and gravel in places; this describes the access path from Mizerna, not a path within the reserve.

The reserve has a path of about 500 metres behind the first row of trees and another path of about 700 metres through the middle of the reserve. A further marked path runs for about 300 metres to a viewing terrace overlooking the Tatra panorama. These distances therefore refer to different sections: the access path and several paths within the nature reserve. When comparing these details to choose an outing, you can consider them separately rather than reading them as the length of a single route.

Trips to Turbacz and Lubań

Mizerna can also serve as a starting point for trips to Turbacz and Lubań. Turbacz is listed at an elevation of 1,310 metres and Lubań at 1,211 metres. Turbacz is therefore 99 metres higher. The two names and elevations provide a specific distinction when choosing a hiking destination. Unlike the “Modrzewie” educational trail, the focus here is on two named mountain destinations; the shared point of reference is Mizerna as a possible starting point for trips.
