At Wielki Kamień, a short black trail branches off from the yellow-marked ridge trail; the Church of NMP Królowej Polski, meanwhile, combines a construction period from 1904 to 1909 with later decorative features. This gives Stróza a range of attractions for a stay: rock formations and bouldering, church architecture, and other dated buildings. For your planning, it is worth distinguishing between the rocky destinations and considering the church’s construction and decor as separate periods.

Rocky destinations and marked trails

Wielki Kamień can be reached via a short, black-marked trail that branches off from the yellow-marked path. This yellow trail runs over the summit and along the ridge of Krzywicka Góra. The ridge trail and the turnoff to the rock are therefore two distinct sections of the route. Bouldering is also available at Wielki Kamień: there are five boulder problems graded from 6b to 6c on the French scale. Since activity details can change, check the information in advance if you plan to go bouldering.

Another destination is Diabelski Kamień, a 6.5-meter-high rock formation on the slopes of Kotoń in Stróża. A marked turnoff leads to it. At Wielki Kamień, the ridge trail and bouldering are the main attractions; at Diabelski Kamień, it is the height and its location on Kotoń. Both names end in “Kamień”; their different first elements help distinguish the two rocky destinations.

Church and architectural history

The Church of NMP Królowej Polski in Stróża was built between 1904 and 1909 in the Neo-Gothic style. It has a freestanding bell tower dating from 1908, which falls within the church’s construction period. Inside are Neo-Baroque altars and stained-glass windows made in 1966 to a design by Adam Bunsch. The construction phase, tower and windows can therefore be distinguished chronologically: 1904–1909, 1908 and 1966. The style terms also refer to different features: the church building is Neo-Gothic, while the altars are Neo-Baroque.

Two other named buildings add to the chronology. Willa Klebertówka was built in 1923 and stands near the hamlet of Miłogoszcz. The “Firkówka” farmstead in Stróża dates from 1924. There is just one year between these dates, but the buildings are different: a villa and a farmstead. Together with the church’s construction period, they give a timeline extending from the early 20th century to the buildings of 1923 and 1924; the church windows, as a later decorative feature, take the timeline up to 1966.

Sports and recreation area

A report dated April 14, 2026, announced that the Strefa Aktywności Sportowo-Rekreacyjnej in Stróża had been completed. The report listed a pump track for cycling and skateboarding, a playground, a covered seating area and benches. The facilities were intended for children and young people from Stróża and all the localities. The zone is therefore a different kind of attraction from the rocky destinations and buildings, focusing on sports and recreation. If you plan to make it a fixed part of your itinerary, check its current status before visiting.
