Visitors to Górzno looking to compare routes and activities will find a wide variety of options: the “Wokół jeziora Górzno” nature and educational trail is about 6 km long, while the hiking trails to Bachotek and Łąkorz measure 44 and 56 km respectively. There is also a 26.2 km cycling loop that returns to Górzno. The options are clearly distinguished by route length, mode of travel and destination.

Hiking: nature route and longer trails

The “Wokół jeziora Górzno” nature and educational trail has several viewpoints. From a hill near where the Górzanka flows out of Lake Górzno, you can see Górzno and the lake. Part of the route passes through Górzno town park and is considered suitable for family walks.

The longer hiking trails can also be clearly distinguished: the blue trail to Bachotek is 44 km long, while the green trail to Łąkorz is 56 km. The green trail is therefore 12 km longer than the blue one; both routes are considerably longer than the approximately 6 km nature and educational trail.

Landscape and cycling

In the northern part of Górzno-Lidzbark Landscape Park and around Górzno, elevation differences reach 30 to 40 m; the Brynica Valley is considered particularly attractive. These landscape features complement the specific route descriptions with a view of the terrain and valley.

The blue “Centralny” cycling trail is a 26.2 km loop. It passes through Górzno, Fiałki, Czarny Bryńsk and Bryńsk Szlachecki before returning to Górzno. On this cycling route, returning to the starting point is part of the described itinerary; the hiking trails are named for their destinations, Bachotek and Łąkorz.

Sports and seasonal bathing facilities

The WISIAŁKI Sports and Recreation Complex has four beach volleyball courts. Park Linowy Górzno adds to the sporting options with six courses. The rope park is open year-round for organised groups; to use the attractions, you must get in touch by phone. Arrange your visit directly by phone, as opening conditions may change.

At Leśna 24, there is a supervised bathing area with water sports equipment rental. As seasonal operations may change, check in advance whether the facility is available on your visit date.

Town history and workshops in Fiałki

Górzno received its first town rights in 1327 from Bishop Florian of Płock. The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is also part of the town’s history: it is associated with the activities of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre.

In nearby Fiałki, Wioska Mydlarska offers oil and herb workshops for children and school groups. It also holds soap-making workshops, where children and school groups make natural soaps themselves.
