The Church of St. Vitus is considered Rogoźno’s oldest church and most valuable historic monument. Other attractions include a regional museum in the neoclassical town hall of the New Town, the Za Jeziorem bathing area and routes of varying lengths and layouts. In Rogoźno, you can explore cultural attractions, enjoy the water and choose from several ways to discover the surrounding area along specific routes.

Church and Regional Museum

The Church of St. Vitus holds a special place among the town’s historic sights: it is considered both Rogoźno’s oldest church and its most valuable historic monument. For a stay focused on culture, it is a notable landmark whose historical significance differs from the Regional Museum’s exhibition themes.

The Wojciechy Dutkiewicz Regional Museum is housed in the listed neoclassical town hall of the New Town. The building was constructed between 1826 and 1828. Across more than 350 square metres, the museum presents three permanent exhibitions on history, ethnography and nature, as well as temporary exhibitions. These topics sit alongside one another: local history, ethnographic content and nature are complemented by changing exhibitions.

The museum also offers educational sessions, lectures and competitions. These activities provide a different focus from a tour of the exhibitions. If you would like to plan a lecture or a specific activity into your stay, it is best to check the date in advance. This way, you can plan your museum visit around the format that interests you most.

Bathing Area and Nature Trail

The “Życie biologiczne w jeziorach” nature trail is 50 metres from the Za Jeziorem bathing area and is open to tourists. Its 18 features include information boards, games, a world mirror, an educational shelter and tables with benches. The themed trail and the bathing area are two nearby attractions that offer different ways to enjoy a lakeside visit.

The bathing area in Rogoźno has an open, sandy beach with plenty of sun. The water entry is shallow, after which the lakebed slopes downward. This describes the bathing area more specifically than a general reference to a beach: there is a sandy shore, a shallow entry and then a change in the shape of the lakebed. Along with the nearby nature trail, it offers a distinct focus for visitors who want to include both water and nature-related topics in their plans.

Compare Routes by Starting Point, Destination and Length

Two red hiking trails connect Rogoźno with other places. The 16-kilometre trail runs from Skoki via Lakes Budziszewskie and Rogozińskie to Rogoźno. Rogoźno, by contrast, is the starting point of the 19-kilometre trail, which runs via Cieśle, Pruśce, Lake Wiatrowskie and Lake Łęgowo to Wągrowiec. The second trail is three kilometres longer. The direction also distinguishes the two options: Rogoźno is the destination on one trail and the starting point on the other.

Two other routes both start and finish in Rogoźno. The 24-kilometre route goes via Studzieniec, Nienawiszcz, the “Buczyna” nature reserve, Słomowo and Boguniewo before returning. The 27-kilometre route also returns to Rogoźno, passing through Cieśle, Potulice, Tarnowo, Karolewo and Owieczki. These two routes differ in both length and the intermediate places listed.

To choose between them, start by comparing the starting points and destinations: the red hiking trails run between Rogoźno and another place, while the other two routes both begin and end there. Within this second group, you can choose between 24 and 27 kilometres and different layouts. This makes it possible to distinguish the routes by their stated key details without presenting them as a single itinerary.
