Mountain views in clear weather

The よろこびの砦 observation platform is located in みのかも健康の森. In clear weather, you can see 御岳山, 伊吹山 and 恵那山 from there. If the mountain views are a deciding factor for you, plan them as a weather-dependent activity.

At the 太田宿中山道会館, an exhibition room introduces the history and culture of 中山道太田宿. There is also an area for displaying and selling local products. As a circular route, it connects the riverbank with a place whose history and culture are also presented at the 太田宿中山道会館. Its defined sequence provides guidance if you are looking to combine riverside scenery and culture along one route; at just over five and a half kilometers, the route’s length is also specified.

Satoyama scenery and leisure activities

At ぎふ清流里山公園, the concept centers on the Satoyama landscape; traditional buildings, flower fields and tea fields define the park. For family recreation, it also offers grass slides, an adventure park and a petting zoo. This brings together landscape design and specific leisure activities. Unlike the exhibition at the 太田宿中山道会館, the focus here is on the park landscape and activities. The park is therefore arranged differently from the 5,554-meter circular route: here, several landscape features and leisure activities are grouped together, while the route follows a clearly defined course. This makes it possible to consider a park visit as a different option from the route.

A river adventure as a standalone activity

The 10-kilometer 木曽川アドベンチャー river adventure is offered at リバーポートパーク美濃加茂. It is another way to experience the Kiso River during your stay. The circular route is 5,554 meters long, while the river adventure is 10 kilometers: these figures help distinguish the two different offerings without combining them into one route.
