Neurim Beach gives your search for accommodation in Havatzelet Hasharon a specific coastal focus. The beach lies west of Havatzelet Hasharon, below the communities of Havatzelet Hasharon and Tzukey Yam, and between Netanya to the south and Beit Yanai to the north. This makes it possible to locate it as a distinct point in the surrounding area. This distinction is useful for your planning: Havatzelet Hasharon is the destination, while Neurim Beach is a nearby beach. Visiting Neurim Beach and exploring the wider coastal area are therefore different priorities.
Nearby Neurim Beach
Free beach chairs and umbrellas are available to visitors on the sand. Shaded areas, restrooms, showers, and a restaurant round out the facilities at Neurim Beach. Before visiting, check whether these facilities are currently open.
Surfing options in the area
Galim also offers surfing lessons for children, teenagers, and adults; groups for advanced surfers; summer and holiday camps; therapeutic surfing; and informal education projects. The offerings vary by format and target audience. If a particular course or camp is important to your trip, check directly with Galim where and when it takes place and whether it is currently being offered.
Coastal trails and landscapes in the wider area
Those who want to experience the coast not just at a single beach but along a longer stretch can find Section 18 of the Israel National Trail in the wider area. The route runs south from Beit Yanai Beach along the coast and below the cliff. It then passes through the Havatzelet Hasharon Coastal Nature Reserve and by the bathing beaches of northern Netanya. The difference from Neurim Beach is one of scale: there, the focus is on the beach and its facilities; here, it is a route through several coastal stretches.
A 2018 report by the regional council described a planned cycling connection from the Havatzelet Hasharon junction to Beit Yanai Beach. From there, one branch was to lead to the Hof Hefer community area, while another would pass via Neurim Beach, Tzukey Yam, and Shoshanat HaAmakim to Havatzelet Hasharon. At that time, cycling paths in Emek Hefer were at different planning and implementation stages.
A nature reserve has been proposed north of Netanya along the kurkar cliffs. The area lies directly west of the road connecting Netanya with the community of Tzukey Yam. The proposed area includes coastal scrub with mastic shrubs, cistus (rare there), coastal thorn, thyme, hairy flax, thorny burnet, and other species, including sea lavender. The coastal sandbanks in the wider area are rich in marine life; this stretch of coast is the most varied between Mikhmoret and Jaffa. Cliffs, coastal scrub, and sandbanks reveal different facets of the coastal landscape.
