The Neo-Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Adorján and several walking and cycling routes give Lispeszentadorján a variety of attractions. The 34 km Murafölde cycling tour is particularly well defined; other options include a climb through the vineyards, a path up a hill and routes linking various settlements. You can plan your visit around culture, scenic climbs and cycling routes that follow different paths.

Church and Vineyard Slopes

The church in Lispeszentadorján is dedicated to Saint Adorján and was built in the Neo-Romanesque style. Its dedication and style give it a clear cultural significance. If you want to consider more than just cycling and walking routes when choosing where to visit, it offers a distinctive architectural point of interest.

A climb through the Lispeszentadorján vineyards passes steepish slopes and wine gardens before reaching a ridge dotted with cellars and offering panoramic views. The climb, vineyards and views define this option. Another path leads to the hill above (Lispe-) Szentadorján and continues from there towards Lispei-hegy. Check the current trail markings in advance.

Cycling Routes and Settlement Sequences

The 34 km Murafölde cycling tour runs from Lispeszentadorján into the heart of Murafölde. The Dombok között tekergő cycling route passes through Kiscsehi and Lispeszentadorján towards Kányavár. Zala as a Regional Setting

The wider travel destination of Zala also offers distinctive landscapes and cultural themes to explore. The Zalai Borvidék wine region developed on the slopes and plateaus of the Zalai-dombság and on the northwestern slopes of the Keszthelyi-hegység. It comprises two wine-growing districts and 38 settlements. Kis-Balaton is Zala’s largest body of water, is strictly protected and covers 14,745 hectares. It is also the setting of István Fekete’s classic novels Tüskevár and Téli berek.

Another natural attraction in Zala is Lake Hévíz, the world’s largest biologically active natural thermal lake. Therapeutic treatments at the lake are available only by prior appointment; appointments can be booked at the therapy reception of the Festetics Bath House. Alongside wine landscapes and literary connections, the regional setting therefore also offers thermal treatments, which require an appointment in advance.
