Krogaspe offers several different reasons to stay: golf, a bathing area, fishing lakes, and walking and cycling tours. When looking for a holiday apartment, you can first decide whether golf should be the main focus or whether the landscape, local history and nature watching are more important.

Golf Park: Play and Training

Krogaspe Golf Park has 27 holes: a 9-hole short course and an 18-hole course with a par of 73. The initial difference between the two formats is the number of holes; the 18-hole course is also designated as a par-73 course. Beginners and experienced golfers are welcome; no prior knowledge or golfing qualification is required. The tailor-made training programme includes individual coaching, group sessions and course qualification courses for beginners and advanced players. If you are looking for the right option for your stay, you can choose from individual coaching, group lessons and a course aimed at obtaining a course qualification.

The driving range is free to use, and rental clubs are also available free of charge at the clubhouse. Training programmes may be revised, and club availability may change. Check these details in advance if lessons or equipment are important to your plans. The restaurant at the golf park is also open to guests who do not play golf. You can visit by car, on foot or by bicycle; car and bicycle parking is available.

Bathing Area, Moorland and Cycling Tours

There is an unsupervised bathing area with showers and toilets at Krogaspe Pond. Krogaspe also has three fishing lakes for sport fishing. The hedgerow landscape and Dickmoor are ideal for walks. Dickmoor is home to peat mosses and birch groves; rare birds may be spotted there. Nature-related activities range from walks through the inviting landscape to the possibility of birdwatching.

Several cycling tours pass through Krogaspe. As routes may change, check the route before setting out. In addition to walking, you can also experience the landscape on cycling tours.

Village Character and History

A preserved thatched farmhouse is a distinctive feature of the village. Ossenweg preserves the local connection to the historic Ox Road, an important livestock droving route. Large herds once travelled south along this route towards the Elbe; they stopped overnight at a local inn. Alongside the rural architecture, Ossenweg thus tells the story of livestock droving and the tradition of stopping along the way. A restaurant in a rural outlying area of Krogaspe is associated with a fishing lake and a smokehouse.

Rendsburg-Eckernförde in the Wider Region

In the wider destination of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, the 180-kilometre Nature Park Hiking Trail runs through the district’s four nature parks. The nature parks consist largely of nature and landscape conservation areas and provide habitats for a diverse range of animal and plant life. The district’s signposted cycling network covers 1,000 kilometres; Rendsburg-Eckernförde district also has 55 kilometres of Baltic Sea coastline.
