Künzelsau combines art and cultural attractions with trails in the city forest. This gives you different options for your stay: exhibitions and sculptures, a guided city tour, or time on an adventure or hiking trail. You can choose among the attractions according to your interests without combining them into a single visit itinerary.

Art, Exhibitions and Architectural Forms

Museum Würth displays art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Presentations from its own collection, featuring paintings, prints and sculpture, alternate with special exhibitions supplemented by loans. The exhibition format therefore includes both works from the collection and changing special exhibitions.

Museum Würth 2 offers another perspective on art: its elongated structure stands in front of the glass cube of the Carmen Würth Forum, a cultural and convention center that opened in 2017. The exhibition space covers around 1,000 square meters. At the Carmen Würth Forum / Museum Würth 2 in Künzelsau, more than 70 sculptural works by around 40 artists can be discovered in the Würth Sculpture Garden.

The public Frau Holle private library at Kulturhaus Würth contains more than 10,000 books. Since April 2024, the second floor has also housed the interactive “Space Art” exhibition. It presents student art, digital art, science and space travel.

Explore the City and Find Your Way

Künzelsau recommends a route for exploring its sights, with QR codes on the buildings. Check the current signage beforehand rather than relying on individual codes. Another way to explore is the “Discover and Experience Künzelsau” city tour: it takes place on the first Saturday of every month at 11 a.m. and lasts about an hour and a half. Check the city’s current arrangements before your visit.

City Forest, Cycling and Longer Routes

The nature adventure trail runs for 3.5 kilometers through Künzelsau’s city forest. Its interactive stations include balancing on wooden posts, a barefoot trail, a tree drum, sound bars, a throwing station and a marble run. The route links several different stations along a trail through the city forest.

For mountain biking, the SVM-Bikers section of SV Morsbach operates a small trail center in Künzelsau’s city forest (Taläcker). There are currently two trails and an uphill trail; trail status may change, so check the latest information before setting off. Another cycling facility is the Würth Bike Park, a pump track at the Ballenwasen sports grounds.

Those looking for a longer hike can take a 17-kilometer route from Künzelsau via Schloss Stetten to Langenburg, or in the opposite direction. By comparison, the 3.5-kilometer nature adventure trail is the shorter of the two routes described. The route details can help you choose between a loop through the city forest and a longer connection via Schloss Stetten.

Getting There and a Regional Perspective

From the Gaisbach Kur/Museum bus stop in Künzelsau, Museum Würth is a five-minute walk via Reinhold-Würth-Straße. Check the current bus service separately when planning your journey.

The Hohenlohe district has numerous cycling routes for exploring the region. The Hohenlohe hills are framed by the deeply incised river valleys of the Kocher, Jagst and Ohrn. This regional perspective stands apart from the attractions in Künzelsau described above.
