From Placette du vieux village, the view stretches from Lac de Saint-Cassien to Grasse. A hike along the left bank of the Siagne and the architectural history of Villa Le Pas de Pique add further highlights. This variety can help you decide what you want your accommodation to put you close to: landscapes, architectural history, or seasonal events.

Landscapes between river and viewpoints

The Siagne separates Le Tignet from the Var department. The “Balade dans le Val de Siagne” hike follows the river’s left bank and the former rural path from Saint-Cassien. River conditions may affect your progress; factor this into your plans and check conditions before setting out.

Placette du vieux village offers a different focus: its view stretches from Lac de Saint-Cassien to Grasse. While the hike describes a route along the river, the placette offers views across this wide expanse. This gives you a choice between a specific riverside hike and a viewpoint during your stay.

Architecture and traces of the past

Villa Le Pas de Pique has a striking architectural history and a precisely dated heritage listing. Marcel Lods built it for his own use in 1961–1962; it is considered one of the key examples of industrial metal architecture. It was listed as a historic monument by decree on 11 September 2006. The listing protects the villa in its entirety, including the house, the access bridge, and cadastral parcel A 3469. The construction period and the date of protection mark two separate stages: first the building’s construction, then the protection of the entire property.

Le Castellaras is a medieval castle ruin above the road to Saint-Cézaire, on the municipal boundary. Access to the ruins may be restricted locally; check whether a visit is possible before going. Traces of a castle and a place of worship can also be seen in the San-Peyre area.

Tastings and honey

Jean-Louis Lautard Apiculteur offers on-site tastings and direct sales. Arrangements for visitors may change, so it is best to coordinate your visit in advance. The honeys include single-variety options as well as varieties from typical habitats such as maquis, garrigue, the foothills, mountains, and forests. The selection may vary.

Events throughout the year

The Forum des Associations has been held every September in Le Tignet since 2014. Its wide range of stands is open to the public. As dates and programs may change, check the details for the event year before your trip.

The “Marché de Noël – Le Tignet” is also held annually. Inside and around the Salle des fêtes, there are almost 40 stalls offering gift ideas and food. Free entertainment, games, and opportunities to meet Père Noël are also part of the event. The number of stalls and the program may vary from one edition to the next. If you want to plan your trip around the event, check the dates for the relevant period.
