La Faloise offers several distinct points of interest: the landscape along the lower Noye, a circular route associated with ponds and fishing opportunities, as well as the Château and war memorial. When planning a stay, it helps to distinguish between them: you can view the landscape from the slopes and valley floor, the circular route follows a specific course, and the architecture and history offer further perspectives. This lets you decide whether nature, walking, fishing or local history will shape your stay.

Landscape along the lower Noye

The landscape along the lower Noye is considered emblematic and extends across the municipalities of La Faloise and Chaussoy-Epagny. In the wider area around La Faloise, the lower Noye at Chaussoy-Epagny is considered representative of the wet valleys of the Amiénois. This brings together a landscape area spanning two municipalities and a broader connection to the Amiénois.

In the La Faloise/Chaussoy section, the slopes open up to wide panoramas of the valley floor in some places. The slopes and valley floor thus offer two different perspectives on the same landscape. The Château de La Faloise is also connected to the terrain: it stands on a limestone spur, a projecting section of limestone terrain, and features exceptional architecture.

Circular route and practical information

The “Autour de Courcelles” circular route starts 550 metres from La Faloise station. In the direction of Folleville, it follows a section of the GR124 and then returns to La Faloise. The route leads to a poplar plantation and continues on to ponds.

Trail conditions can change, so check the latest situation before setting out. La Faloise station has 15 free car parking spaces. Check the parking information before you arrive, as these facilities may change.

Fishing at ponds and on the Noye

The “La Faloisienne” association offers fishing in La Faloise at ponds and along a section of the Noye classified as a first-category river. Le Petit Étang is one of the two fishing ponds in La Faloise. Ponds and a section of river are therefore the two different types of waterway at the centre of this activity. Check the local rules before fishing.

The circular route and fishing offer different focuses: the route follows a course to a poplar plantation and ponds, while fishing depends on the local waters and rules. If you want to include both in your stay, plan for trail conditions and fishing regulations separately.

Architecture and remembrance

The Château de La Faloise combines its position on a limestone spur with exceptional architecture. The war memorial offers a different cultural perspective: it was created by Louis Leclabart and is considered one of this artist’s most original monuments. It was inaugurated on 17 September 1922.

Nine names are engraved on the monument, including those of three sons of the Blangy family. The artist, inauguration date and inscription each highlight a different aspect: authorship, the historical date and the names recorded on the monument. Together with the architecture of the Château, the war memorial offers a distinct way to explore the heritage of La Faloise.
