Noyant-Et-Aconin can be explored through several themes: the “Trois Clochers” trail passes through the village in the Crise Valley, guided visits reveal the quarries, and the church and works of art offer different glimpses into the village’s history. For planning, three questions are especially helpful: How much time should you allow for the hike, when is a guided tour available, and which activities require a reservation? A half-day is suggested for the “Trois Clochers”; the other activities depend on dates and arrangements.

Hiking the “Trois Clochers”

The hiking trail known as the “Trois Clochers” is about 12 kilometres long and is suitable for a half-day family outing. It passes through Noyant-et-Aconin in the Crise Valley and connects Septmonts with the Château de Berzy-le-Sec. It offers a practical way to explore the area on foot.

The trail follows shaded paths by the river and crosses higher sections with panoramic views. The riverside paths and viewpoints offer different perspectives on the landscape along the same route. Check current trail conditions before setting out.

Underground stone galleries

On a guided tour of the quarries at Noyant, visitors can travel through several dozen kilometres of underground stone galleries. They learn about the galleries’ purpose and the extraction work carried out there. Unlike the trail in the valley, this experience focuses on a guided visit underground.

Tour dates vary. Check the current schedule before planning your visit. This means you can plan the hike based on its approximate length, while the tour date is the key point to check for the quarries.

Church and art history

The church of Notre-Dame de Noyant-et-Aconin is dated to approximately the 13th century. Associated with it is the painting “La Naissance de la Vierge” (“The Birth of the Virgin”): it was destroyed during the First World War and classified as a historic object on 4 January 1915. The church’s construction history and the fate of the painting offer two different ways to explore the village’s past.

Another work, “Vue du château d'Aconin” (“View of the Château d'Aconin”), was created in Noyant-et-Aconin. It depicts a landscape and architectural scene with the Château d'Aconin in the background, a pond and several people. The work is held at the municipal museum in Soissons. Whether it is currently on display may change.

Dining and accommodation

La Cressonnière offers a vegetarian and vegan table d'hôtes by reservation. The dishes are homemade and made with ingredients from organic farming and French produce. If you would like to dine there, book in advance and confirm the arrangements for your visit, as they may change.

For an overnight stay, La Cressonnière in Noyant-et-Aconin offers unusual accommodation in a caravan in a garden. Check the accommodation details and availability for your travel dates in advance, as information may change. This lets you choose your accommodation separately from the specific arrangements for hiking, the guided tour and dining.
