At Parc Galamé, green landscapes, encounters with animals and water activities come together; Ferme Galamé and the Musée des Jeux Traditionnels add Flemish architectural history and regional gaming traditions to the picture.

Nature and activities at Parc Galamé

Parc Galamé is a nature-oriented recreation area with green surroundings for walking, swimming and experiencing nature. Its landscape features include a pond, pools, wooded green spaces, a solarium and green dunes. Together, they form a habitat with its own ecosystem. Alongside recreational activities, the park therefore also offers a variety of water and green spaces.

Around 20 animal species live in the Village des animaux. They include donkeys, ponies, chickens, sheep and goats, which visitors can pet. The animal species and opportunities to pet them may change. Parc Galamé also offers Laserwood; its availability may vary by season.

Beeo’Aquatique: swimming pools with different depths

Beeo’Aquatique is a biological swimming pool. A biofilter and plants clean the water naturally. Swimming is available seasonally; individual facilities may also operate seasonally.

The pool facilities include two small pools with depths of 30 to 60 cm, two medium-sized pools with depths of 1.20 to 1.70 m, and one large pool with a depth of 2.50 m. The pools therefore vary considerably in depth. Inflatable water-play equipment and a play area with water fountains complement the facilities. If swimming is a main focus of your stay, take seasonal access into account when choosing your travel dates.

Nature activities and their different schedules

The Maison de la Nature offers free activities for the general public throughout the year. Visitors can discover local wildlife and plant life. An experience area dedicated to bees and the natural environment adds a specific nature-focused theme to the activities.

For planning your trip, there is a clear distinction: activities at the Maison de la Nature are available year-round, while the swimming area is open only seasonally and Laserwood may also be available seasonally. If swimming or Laserwood is a deciding factor for you, take these seasonal conditions into account when choosing your travel dates.

Flemish architectural history and traditional games

Ferme Galamé is a farmhouse in typical Flemish architecture. It was built in 1769 and is now considered the oldest residential building in the town of Loon-Plage. Its construction date and architectural style give the site a tangible connection to local history.

The Musée des Jeux Traditionnels offers a different cultural focus. Players of all ages can try traditional “estaminet” games there. The museum also presents traditional games from the region and explores the history of leisure activities associated with popular gaming traditions. The farmhouse’s architectural history and regional gaming practices thus represent different facets of the local cultural heritage.

Étang de pêche: information for the 2026 season
