Lesquin offers several distinct ways to plan your stay: a signposted walking route, sports clubs with a range of activities, and cultural offerings including concerts and events. The options also differ in how you plan them: for a route, the start, destination and distance are helpful; for club activities, participation details matter; and for cultural events, the specific date is key. You can tailor your stay to include a walk, a club activity or a cultural event. Check participation information and event dates in advance.
Walking: a signposted route
A walking route of about 9 km is signposted from the sports complex to Parc d’Enchemont. The two endpoints and approximate distance give the walk a clear framework. This lets you decide in advance whether to include it as a separate activity; check the local signage and route condition before setting off.
Clubs and other activities
For walking excursions, there is also Lesquin, ça marche. This differs in its planning from the signposted route from the sports complex to Parc d’Enchemont: Lesquin, ça marche is a club activity, while the approximately 9 km route has clearly named endpoints. If you are interested in the walks, check participation details with the club in advance.
Cyclo Club Lesquinois offers recreational and sport cycling tours. These are two distinct options: a recreational ride or a sport-oriented tour. If you would like to include cycling in your stay, ask the club in advance about the specific offerings and participation details.
Escapade Lesquinoise offers climbing classes. Gymnastique les volontaires offers gymnastics and Nordic walking for people aged 16 and over. If you are considering these activities, check the participation requirements and dates directly with the respective clubs.
Landscape and culture
Plan d’eau de Merchin is an urban landscape and leisure park in Lesquin. La Carpe Lesquinoise is a club for fishing at Plan d’eau. The same named place thus offers two distinct perspectives: the park’s landscape character and a specific club activity. If you are interested in taking part in fishing, check directly with the club.
Harmonie La Concorde performs in Lesquin at official commemorative events, among other occasions, and organizes concerts and film concerts. The program may vary; check event dates for your stay. The Centre Culturel includes an auditorium with 859 seats, giving a clear indication of the hall’s capacity.
